Senior Network Engineer

Job Description

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and fix network problems, internally and with Service Providers (Telcos) ensuring a 24x7 performance and availability (20%)
• Inspect network equipment settings (routers, switches, firewalls, VoIP, etc.), connections, traffic trends and bandwidth consumption to identify possible improvements, avoid problems (ie. saturation or bottlenecks) and prevent an impact on the on-air and production services (20%)
• Design and develop new networking projects, such as redesigns, hardware or software upgrades, migrations or new connectivity link implementations. Must be able to collaborate with the networking staff from other offices, Telecommunications companies and other specialists. It's an essential condition to be aligned and follow the company's policies and standards. (20%)
• Document the network architecture, equipment and all the changes in order to have an integrated and current vision to allow the transfer of knowledge and collaboration with the other technical areas of the organization and its partners. (20%)
• Be up-to-date with technology trends, new services and products that may benefit the corportation (20%)

Qualifications:
• Experience in LAN/WLAN/WAN/NFV L2/L3 topologies
• Knowledge of L4-L7 Network Services, Multicast, Anycast
• Experience with EIGRP/OSPF/BGP/PBR
• Knowledge about VPN/VPC
• Knowledge of xAAS and Public, Private and Hybrid environments
• CIDR/VLSM management experience
• Experience with DNS/DHCP/NTP/SNMP services
• VLAN/ACLs/Policing configuration experience
• Systems Student or related Careers
• Spanish and English Medium-Advanced level, oral and written
