The Job
Ideal candidate will be uniquely positioned inside a fast-paced, growing team that is responsible for creating and building the studio's digital services. The Senior Financial Analyst is part of the financial reporting and accounting team and will assist with various key functions that support advertising revenue recognition, financial reporting, accounts payable and monthly/quarterly closes. Individual will have a unique opportunity to gain insights into all aspects of the digital business positioning them for long term growth in the future.

The Daily
• Assist in preparation and management of the monthly accounting closes, including analysis and review of account balances and by-title cost allocations and reporting
• Prepares various journal entries for the monthly accounting closes, including by-title cost allocations, YouTube episodic revenue allocations, and accruals, as necessary
• Assists with SG&A (Overhead) which includes reporting of actuals and preparation of variance explanations relating to salary, T&E, and non-salary expenses
• Assists with coding and invoice processing, purchase orders and vendor creation/maintenance
• Assist in monitoring and reviewing the daily Cash Application performed by Global Business Services (GBS) for adequacy as well as provide coding for Distribution Deal payments
• Assist in responding to Tax department and audit requests
• Assist in interpreting the reported financial results by researching variances and thinking outside the box to locate answers which may not be easily accessible
• Assist department by providing required deliverables and meaningful supporting analyses for all aspects of financial planning and analysis
• Continuously assess policies and processes, while making recommendations to implement improvements that will gain efficiencies, streamline workflow and improve reporting
• Ad hoc analysis as required and requested

The Essentials
• Minimum 3 years of accounting, financial analysis, financial/sales reporting experience required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance required
• Previous finance/research/sales analysis experience is required
• Television experience and/or Entertainment background preferred
• Movie / Television production accounting experience a plus
• SAP understanding and experience a major plus
• Strong proficiency in Word, Outlook and advanced level Excel skills is required
• Previous accounting & reporting experience within the entertainment industry a plus
• Must possess strong analytical skills
• Must be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the self-confidence to drive key
• Must be able to adapt in fast paced environment with heavy data manipulation and quickly changing submission dates
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with persons on all levels, in person and on the telephone
• Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions
• Must have the ability to organize and schedule work effectively
• Must have the ability to work well under time constraints
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
