The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that the interests of the client are met by managing all aspects of a project life cycle including project planning, development, change control, implementation, budget management, issue management, customer relationships, and team leadership. This is accomplished through effective communication and facilitation skills, risk analysis, organization skills and attention to detail.
• Work with project team, customers, and management to prioritize requirements and develop and maintain detailed project plans using standard tools. Include project charter and scope, phases, tasks, assignments, dependencies, and target dates. Determine resource roles needed and work with management to secure project team members. Review metrics as necessary and manage actual effort against estimates in the plan to keep the project on schedule and within budget and scope. Establish and coordinate the plan for migration of the project into production. Manage customer expectations and communicate with other groups as needed to ensure successful implementation.
• Work with Business Systems Analysts to define and document communication plan and promote a positive working relationship with customers . Maintain open and constant communication among internal team, customers, and management regarding project status. Perform analyses for changes to scope and negotiate/recommend course of action or escalate as appropriate.
• Direct the tasks of project team members and model team leadership skills. Work with team members and management to resolve team issues, including escalation as appropriate. Ensure that team members are allocating time appropriately to project activities and recording accurately in approved time-tracking tool(s).
• Use effective meeting management skills to initiate, develop agenda, conduct, and provide minutes so that all appropriate parties are kept up-to-date regarding project status and issues. Ensure that project team members communicate status and issues as appropriate.
• Maintain a log of all project-related issues, and escalate to management, stakeholders, or other appropriate parties. Coordinate the resolution of issues and communicate resolution to all appropriate parties. Lead team in identifying and managing risk factors for the project and develop mitigation plans to address the risks. Ensure success of the project by taking ownership of deliverables and assist/perform analysis, testing, support, training, or other tasks as necessary.
• Assist in project financial reporting including budgetary, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Assist management with special assignments, such as evaluating vendors, gathering/evaluating consultant proposals, or other responsibilities as requested. Provide input to personnel management decisions as appropriate.

The Essentials
• 5 or more years project leadership experience.
• Full software development life cycle (SDLC) experience
• Proficiency in MS Project or similar project management tool
• MS Office suite.

The Nice to Haves
• Working knowledge of the Clarity PPM application.
• Working knowledge of iManage, CounselLink, eCounsel, Avvoka, or eDocs applications.
