Project Manager

Job Description

Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for managing and directing multiple projects at a time, ranging from small or medium in scale to large and highly complex across multiple platforms. They must ensure that these projects meet or exceed internal team and executive management expectations and are delivered on-time and on-budget. They will interface heavily with product management, UX, design, development, research, operations, vendors, brand partners, and executive management to assure that the project delivers on the business requirements.

The Daily

Lifecycle Project Management for digital products - 60%:
- Manage the day-to-day multiple large scale technical projects
- Demonstrate proficiency in managing project tasks and setting stakeholder expectations
- Collaborate with the project team to identify the approach, deliverables, scope, requirements, schedule and tools to deliver the project(s) within established constraints
- Work on contracts, secure trademarks, acquire URL's, submit and track invoices
- Build and maintain detailed project management plans to include resource, schedule and cost components
- Develop meeting agendas; drafts and distributes meeting notes
- Manage internal and external relationships and provides status reporting at the project level to the executive team; represent KYAC Digital Enterprises and projects in cross-functional meetings as-needed
- Ensure quality assurance testing and legal compliance prior and subsequent to launch
- Actively monitor project risks and scope creep to foresee and identify potential problems and solutions; lead problem-resolution
- Deliver projects on time and on budget, meeting business requirements and stakeholder expectations
- Manage projects through approved management systems, such as Jira, Basecamp, Confluence and Smarthsheets
- Verify all project documents and assets are properly archived and operational plans are enacted

Project Management of product feature enhancements and upgrades - 40%:
- Manage enhancements or features for live products
- Work closely with research and strategy team to stay ahead of any market changes
- Work closely with internal technologies teams to align project roadmaps

The Essentials
• 3+ years project management or relevant experience
• Extreme attention to detail, strong organizational and facilitation skills
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with project management software
• Creative thinking and problem-solving
• Experience managing mobile, connected device, and web technologies
• Ability to be diplomatic yet firm to drive results
• College degree required, BA preferred
• Project management certification or experience/training
• PMP
• Preferred area of study: Media, Communications, Technology
