What part will you play?
As a Product Manager, Newsletter Platform, you will be working in a multi-disciplined, cross-functional role to collaborate with key stakeholders in leading the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and delivery of best-in-class email products that will power CNN to reach our users through one of their most preferred channels at the time they want with the content relevant to them.

What will you be doing?
Quite simply, you will be responsible for ideating, prototyping, developing, and evolving products that enable CNN digital to build the next generation newsletter platform. Deep interest in and commitment to the newsletter form is an absolute must!

What do we need from you?
• Deep working knowledge of online audiences, analytics, and the best practices for editorial newsletter management
• Demonstrated experience evaluating, selecting, managing, and holding accountable 3rd party partners
• Experience in Enterprise Campaign Management Platform with focus on Audience Growth, Improving Engagement, and reducing churn
• Ability to create, diagram, and adapt the newsletter publishing workflow to accommodate editorial teams and the tools at hand
• Collect and analyze data to ensure delivery of higher engagement with audiences across newsletter products
• Working knowledge of deliverability tools, techniques, and hygiene
• Refine email strategy and work with newsletter writers and editors on best practices to execute it
• Ability to articulate product ideas and features through positioning documents or story-boarding for effective Product Marketing
• Works with product and development teams to develop and refine tools critical to audience engagement (user accounts, newsletter signups, etc)
• Demonstrated experience executing A/B testing strategies
• Understanding of app ecosystems and related technologies such as HTML, REST API's, Push Notification Services, oAuth, HLS, JSON, XML is a huge plus – you don't need to code, but you do need to be able to have an intelligent conversation with those that do!
• 5+ years of experience building consumer-facing, multi-platform, multi-media digital products or relevant experience
• Ability to think strategically and to translate ideas into actions
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple simultaneous initiatives to successful completion
• Demonstrated ability to partner with numerous internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and nimble environment that can pivot very quickly to reflect the changing needs of the company or industry
• Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Strong work ethic, integrity, and collaborative approach to work
• Bachelor's Degree or commensurate work experience
