Responsibilities Include: Communicating with clients to understand program or promo needs as well as clearance needs, and serving as a point of contact for clearances; clearing music start to finish, including sending out requests, responding to questions, negotiating terms and fees, securing approvals, confirming use, tracking and reviewing licenses, and working with clients regarding invoicing as needed; advising on music clearance related issues, including identifying music and lyrics requiring clearance, researching rights holders, responding to clearance questions and advising clients on music-related issues; preparing, reviewing and securing quotes from labels, publishers and music libraries; tracking rights and assisting with making public domain determinations; reviewing and negotiating licenses; building and maintaining strong relationships throughout the music industry; and participating in other projects depending on music needs.

Qualifications:

∙ College degree (or relevant work experience in lieu of a college degree).

∙ 3+ years of music clearance experience (e.g., in the music department at a major production company, film/television studio, television network, publisher, label, or law firm).

∙ Experience providing in-house support in television is preferred.

∙ Highly collaborative, with clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

∙ Curiosity and eagerness to tackle additional projects as needed, including matters outside of your area of expertise.

∙ Fast learner with strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment where meeting deadlines is a priority and handling multiple matters simultaneously is the norm.
