PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The role is responsible for the overall content planning and strategy for the kids genre across linear and non-linear platforms working closely with cross-functional teams such as Creative Services, Marketing, Ad Sales, Digital, and Operations to synergize the network's goals and objectives.
• Programming Strategy & Planning (40%)
• Responsible for planning a content calendar of shows and stunts to maximise channel performance and ROI for key franchises and IP.
• Ensure schedules, stunts, promo briefs, and key franchises deliver on strategy and brand values.
• Monitor and analyse weekly/monthly/quarterly performance and insights reports from Research and react and adjust programming plans accordingly.
• Work with the acquisitions team to identify and evaluate content to fulfill a robust and locally relevant content lineup that enhances the global content lineup.
• Keep up to date with market trends, opportunities, and competition.
• Spark creative thematic programming events that offer deeper experiential and engagement opportunities.
• Day-to-day (30%)
• Responsible for the monthly schedules of one of the channel feeds as well as for the team's delivery of monthly schedules and related information across all platforms.
• Create strategic episode rollouts, run pattern, and ensure accurate data entry and program break patterns to the program scheduling system.
• Work closely with the Presentation team to finalize daily presentation logs.
• Prepare monthly programming decks and presentation of plans, strategies, and content information to cross-functional teams.
• Work closely with Ad sales in creating commercial programming rollout and create programming for sponsorship and other revenue opportunities.
• Program Operations (20%)
• Liaise with Media and Program Operations to ensure timely delivery of content and subsequent transmission.
• Monitor program rights, dubbing, and S&P compliance for all content prior to scheduling.
• Liaise with the key operations departments to ensure smooth 24-hour transmission of the channels
• Supervisory (10%)
• Direct supervisor to a team of Programming Executives.
• Lead and mentor team to achieve above objectives with specific measurable goals, assigned tasks and feedback.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• The Programming manager should be comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment, managing multiple projects, and working to find creative solutions with stakeholders under tight time-frames
• A motivated, self-starter with high interest in kids television, digital, content and production.
• Team player with a strong eye for detail
• Strong analytical skills and familiarity with programming and audience insights and research
• Experienced collaborator with marketing and creative teams on content and engagement initiatives
• Experience with program scheduling systems, preferably LRS/What's On
