Job Description

Purpose of the Role:
• The primary responsibility of the Local Scripted Originals Producer is to partner with the development team to ensure development deadlines are met and to evaluate scripts to ensure that greenlit projects are aligned in style, tone, and attitude, including basic series concept, characters and story threads. He/she coordinates and evaluates that all decisions reached during development, casting, pre-production and production (including shooting schedules) are viable and aligned with pre-approved budgets and ready for production.

Responsibilities:
• Work closely with Scripted Development team to evaluate scripts from a production perspective, to ensure scripts are aligned with internal target budgets prior to series greenlight.
• Assist in completing production folder elements to achieve series greenlight and renewal assessments, including content valuation and production folder elements analysis
• Provide expert advice on aligning creative and budget goals to physical production schedules.
• Assist in communications regarding production matters throughout project lifecycle to ensure internal stakeholders (Marketing, PR, Creative, Product, Advertising) are always aligned
• Develop ongoing greenlight and production calendar based on development pipeline
• Assist in coordinating assigned local producers to greenlit projects
• Manage projects that cost around 5 million dollars. We will produce around 6 projects per year and represents 60% of all Brazilian content on HBOMAX

Requirements:
• Bachelor Degree in Cinema / Audiovisual / Communication;
• English and Spanish skills are a plus;
• Above average skills in reviewing scripts from a production perspective, to ensure that pre-approved budgets and production timelines and parameters are obtainable;
• Experience in scripted production management at a major media company or as a physical/line producer of television/digital content;
• Experience in all aspects of physical production, from pre-production through delivery, including music, Vfx, 4K and HDR delivery, etc
• Ability to work in multiple projects;
• General knowledge of graphic design or art direction is desirable;
• Previous experience as an Assistant Director.
