Education Facilitator - Harry Potter Studio Tour (Fixed Term Contract)Department Overview
Warner Bros. Studio Tour London is a behind-the-scenes walking tour that immerses guests into the world of filmmaking. The tour features authentic sets, costumes and props that showcase the British artistry, technology and talent that go into producing the world famous and successful movies created at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden. The Studio Tour will initially focus on the Harry Potter film series, which has made Leavesden its home for over 10 years.
The Job
• Facilitating all strands of the education and learning programme, the role will be responsible for stock taking, ordering and upkeep of educational materials and sessions for schools and the general public.
• Ensuring that education and learning programme maintains the highest standards by constantly reviewing the offer and updating the content as required to meet the needs of a diverse and changing audience, including families, super fans and overseas visitors.
• Ensure that the presentation standards of the education and learning programme meets and exceeds customer expectations.
• The role holder will have direct contact with Studio Tour audiences on a daily basis, presenting taught sessions, workshops, and general events, including ''Behind the Seams'' and other Studio Tour experiences.
The Daily
• Delivery and facilitation of programmes for a range of audiences including taught sessions, workshops, and other programmes as necessary to meet the needs and the aims of the business.
• Preparation and upkeep of resources for all programmes, including documentation, consumables and equipment and ensuring that stock is ordered in a timely manner ahead of need.
• Preparing and facilitating learning based events for the Studio Tour visitor programme.
• Supporting and working with colleagues in the wider department.
• Supporting the organisation, administration and promotion of programmes.
• Presenting workshops to the wider public and visitors during school holidays as required.
• Timely answering of the Learning Inbox, preferably within 24 hours.
• Responding to requests for Outreach visits to local state schools.
The Essentials
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience of teaching in an education environment to create an inclusive and supportive teaching environment.
• Ability to work with others in order to develop aims of the business, whilst being flexible and able to adapt to working in a highly dynamic and demanding environment.
• Excellent presentation and audience interaction skills.
• Knowledge of the current national curriculum and exam board specifications.
• Experience of developing workshops and presentations for a diverse and changing audience.
• Teaching skills to differentiate the teaching programme to meet the needs of the visitors.
The Nice to Haves
• Experience in the areas of theatre, film production, media or similar would be preferred but not essential.
• Previous experience of working in an operational and customer facing environment where there are significant numbers of the public on site.
• Experience of presenting film making content to different audiences.
Working Hours
Role will require regular working during evenings, weekends and school holidays which are the peak operating times.
