The Director Accounting, Theatrical is the Global Process Owner (GPO) for the Theatrical Distribution & Production business at WB. The GPO has ultimate responsibility for the completeness and accuracy of the financial statements as well as performance of a process end-to-end in realizing its objectives and has the authority and ability to make necessary changes.

The Director will also be the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the largest territories, including US, Canada, Italy and the UK. The SPOC is empowered to manage the relationship with the customer (BU/Territory), ensuring the delivery of excellent service and integrity of financials at the legal entity level.

Controllership Responsibilities: Direct interaction with the Service Deliver Center (SDC) Controllers to support escalations and inquiries for all month-end close activities including trial balance review, journal entry adjustments, revenue and expense analytics, proper posting of revenue, financial statements and supplemental schedules, accrual schedules and balance sheet account reconciliations. Responsible for establishing and ensuring timeliness of overall monthly close activities, accuracy of close processes and management of SDC activities. Coordinate dates in close calendar. Ensure Sox controls are implemented and adhered to. Manage the monthly/quarterly close deliverables to Corporate Financial Reporting & Consolidations, including Business Unit by-title submissions, ''cause of change'' support, footnotes, supplemental schedules and electronic financial package delivery. Participate in ''Lock'' Meetings with relevant stakeholders to ensure the lock down of financial numbers at each month end close. Manage team in support of all external, internal and participation audits. Ensure timely and accurate responses.

GPO Responsibilities Lead as a GPO for R2R aid in the development and execution of a consistent global approach, including the developing/updating of policies and standards, for the given processes. The GPO is accountable for defining and enforcing the end-to-end processes across all territories for the designated businesses, where applicable. This role is accountable for the design, technology and data of the designated process in an effort to achieve global standardization. The GPO manages existing governance structures, designs & leads process improvement opportunities, system improvements and organizational alignment to achieve centralization and continuous improvement.

Develop staff into financial advisors with a customer service orientation toward the dependent Territory, Business Unit, Service Delivery Center and Corporate Finance groups with whom there is regular interaction. This includes coaching, training, and developing as needed.

Special Projects as required

Work Experience
• Minimum of 7 years previous work experience in an accounting environment required
• 3+ years management experience
• Public and private accounting experience preferred
• Financial closing, consolidations, reporting and planning experience required
• Entertainment work experience preferred
• Working in shared service and/or outsourcing environment preferred

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in accounting required
• CPA and/or MBA preferred.

Knowledge/Skills
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP), including intercompany and foreign currency accounting
• Must have experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle and/or Microsoft Dynamics
• PC Skills: Knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Powerpoint and Excel or Access required
• Entertainment industry knowledge required
• Ability to lead projects and bring them to a successful conclusion
• Excellent analytical skills
