The Job

Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. seeks a Director, Planning & Analysis for the Financial Planning & Analysis department. This position provides an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to be part of a high-profile team that supports executive-level management on key financial and strategic initiatives; thus, this role provides exposure to the full life cycle of film, television and games across production, distribution and the network businesses.

The Daily
• Update/Maintain/Improve Financial and Budget presentations
• Write the story - executive narrative, risk & opportunities, etc.
• Significant charting and graphing to support story
• Variance analysis to Prior Plan, Budget and Prior Year
• By-title schedules and other key divisional analysis
• Run key reports out of SAP and other systems to support analysis
• Investigate material discrepancies in the data
• Supervise version controls and manage iterative updates
• Review analysis performed by Manager
• Create/Maintain Executive Dashboards and other Strategic Presentations
• Project manage special projects and prepare ad-hoc analysis as needed
• Manage, Intercompany and Franchise Reporting
• Coordinate/Communicate across Warner Bros. and WarnerMedia divisions on various analysis, follow-up questions, deliverables, procedures, etc.
• Review earnings materials as necessary
• Write/Maintain policy and process documents; create onboarding manual
• Contribute to continued improvement of analytics to create time savings

The Essentials
• BA/BS degree in Accounting, Business or related field required
• CPA and/or MBA strongly desired
• At least 10 years experience in FP&A/Budgeting/Financial Strategy required
• Previous experience in public accounting and/or the entertainment industry strongly preferred
• Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial statements
• Strong analytical and logic skills including ability to grasp the ''big picture''
• High level of accountability, self-initiative and resourcefulness
• Effective written / verbal communication skills
• Supervisory experience required including strong personnel development skills
• Advanced proficiency in Excel required including familiarity with developing & utilizing complex formulas; Tableau/Dashboarding extremely helpful
• SAP BW/BPS/Hyperion experience extremely helpful
