Director, Finance, APAC

Job Description

1. Financial Planning & Analysis

a. Actively involved in liaising with senior management and APAC finance team members in annual budget / Long Range Planning, Monthly Forecasting, and R&O

b. Own and manage the APAC and Corporate deliverables (FC ledgers / R&O / IBR / Presentation decks / variances / etc.)

c. Plan and coordinate in accordance with corporate timelines & processes across all business units to define and manage APAC timelines

d. Ensure LRP & Forecast data uploaded to SAP/ PeopleSoft / Hyperion systems properly and accurately

e. To perform forecast variance analysis and make necessary forecast adjustment after liaising with VP, Finance – APAC and Senior Management

2. Management reporting

a. Provide templates and review monthly actuals package from APAC finance teams to ensure accuracy, business rationales, and compliance with policy and regulations.

b. Perform variance analysis schedules as required by Corporate and Senior Management

c. Review actual spending against forecast/ budget and follow-up on significant variances

3. Business analysis and decision support

a. Manage Business Analyst & Decision Support role working closely with the territory Finance teams, and Business Development & Operations team

b. Support key business stakeholders on special projects and strategic initiatives.

c. Preparation of presentation decks, business cases, and financial modeling

4. Support integration of the finance function across WarnerMedia (legacy Turner / HBO / Warner Bros.) in the APAC region.

5. Manage system uploads, enhancements, and improvement projects.

6. Drive overall APAC Finance process improvement & streamlining projects.

7. Perform ad-hoc analysis and duties as required, including business cases and new projects.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related business field.
• Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA etc.) is a plus.
• 10+ years professional experience in a finance or related business role within the media and entertainment industry.
