OVERALL SUMMARY:

The Director, eCommerce for North America role will play a key role leading the day-to-day operating team for the Warner Media direct-to-consumer eCommerce sites in the US and Canada. We are looking for a customer champion who can successfully combine brand storytelling with merchandise planning and data analytics to continuously drive customer experience, revenue growth, and extension of our world class brands and franchises in the digital space.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Merchandising & Marketing:
• Build annual and seasonal merchandise plan and supporting marketing strategy cross-category for portfolio of Warner Media owned and operated eCommerce shops
• Create strategy to provide customers with an exclusive product assortment that meets short and long range plans, delighting fans while driving profitable growth
• Build annual and seasonal line plan based on past performance KPIs, trends, marketplace dynamics, innovative partnerships, franchise priorities and more
• Develop and maintain a consistent customer experience vision across all channels of business and regions
• Work closely with Consumer Products on merchandise selection, partner portfolio, assortments and design
• Work closely with internal teams to buildout seasonal and annual roadmap based on brand and franchise priorities to ensure clear and compelling product and content stories
• Build and grow the eCommerce business; identify, seek, and execute upon new opportunities

Financial:
• Strategically lead the eCommerce NA P&L to achieve top-line & bottom-line results and maximize ROI
• Possess a clear understanding of gross margin return on investment; analyze and recommend pricing strategies
• Analyze how merchandising decisions and results impact revenue. Assess and respond to seasonal, yearly and strategic trends.
• Monitor and ensure merchandising strategies adheres to the line plan to stay within budget
• On-going performance management including monthly and quarterly business reviews and budgeting exercises
• Understanding and proper selection of the product fulfillment models that best serve fans and financial performance
Operations & Team Leadership:
• Continuously focused on driving traffic through increased awareness and conversion through product optimization
• Lead and develop team of merchandisers, marketers, and copywriters
• Establish and execute upon engagement processes with cross-functional teams and site operations
• Work to strategically analyze vendor base to best support future business needs and innovation
• Build relationships with third party partners that provide & fulfill products on behalf of the eCommerce shops and ensure they are meeting SLAs
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure all customers receive a superior, premium shopping & customer service experience
• Work closely customer service to understand and trouble shoot customer responses
• Review customer feedback and monthly reports from customer service reports to gain insights & make recommendation on operational & product optimizations (output should be a monthly report)

REQUIREMENTS:
• 8-10 years' experience in eCommerce with a focus on Product merchandising and marketing
• Possesses a strong understanding of consumer product merchandising strategies with proven successful execution
• Experience in driving top line sales growth at a brand-owned eCommerce site
• Expertise in using digital marketing levers to drive retail growth
• Understanding of SEO and how to ensure product visibility on and off channel
• Experience in building merchandising plans
• Strong business acumen
• Highly analytical with deep experience around digital and merchandising KPIs
• Demonstrated strong organization and project management skills
• Highly motivated and self directed
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple line plans and sites at same time
• Must have effective and proven management skills
• Must have leadership experience in motivating and activating a team
