The Job

Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. seeks a Deal Management Lead for the FCRA Participations department.

The Daily
• Analyze and interpret complex financial reporting provisions of talent, production, and distribution agreements related to video game, home entertainment, television and theatrical products
• Set up and maintain deals in WB systems to support profit participation reporting. Review deal terms, financial data and calculations for reasonableness and determine when issues need to be researched or escalated
• Review statements of other analysts to validate deal setup
• Coordinate and communicate with various business units and groups within the division to ensure contractual obligations are met timely and accurately
• Serve as SME to provide user support for automated participations reporting system. Triage and approve setup change requests from other departments
• Assist with template maintenance and enhancement testing to improve business processes
• Track new product and maintain status reports to prioritize and expedite workflow
• Identify process improvements to streamline flow from abstracting through to reporting
• Perform and/or supervise special projects and cleanups. Handle adhoc tasks, analysis and research as needed
• Meet with various stakeholders to provide insight on possible downstream participations impact to revisions in data flow and deal changes
• Provide guidance, answer questions, and troubleshoot deal setup and system issues for Sr. Analysts and Analysts
• Identify efficiencies in various procedures and make recommendations to management on methods for improvement while communicating any obstacles and challenges
• Develop and train staff, document best practices, schedule work flow, and monitor team assignments

The Essentials
• Bachelor's degree in finance, legal, accounting, information systems, or related field
• Minimum 3 years work experience in a finance, legal, accounting, auditing or IT environment
• Participations and/or entertainment industry experience strongly preferred
• Experience with automated participations reporting system strongly preferred
• Experience with system implementations and testing preferred
• Prior supervisory experience preferred
• Ability to interface and interact with all levels of personnel and management
• Expertise with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Prior experience with workflow tracking software (e.g., JIRA) a plus
• Solution oriented individual who can work in a dynamic, fast paced, high volume environment and think outside of the box
• Ability to read and understand digests and abstracts of legal agreements
• Ability to adapt and learn new systems quickly
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent multitasking, organization and time management skills
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Must be able to maintain confidential information
• Must be flexible to changing priorities
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, meet tight deadlines under fast paced environment, and work overtime as needed
