Job Description
WHAT IS WIZARDING WORLD DIGITAL?

More than two decades ago, a young Harry Potter was whisked onto Platform 9 3⁄4 at King's Cross Station, and readers everywhere were swept along with him into a magical universe, created by J.K. Rowling. In the years since, the seven Harry Potter bestsellers have inspired eight blockbuster movies, an award-winning stage play, and, more recently, the start of the Fantastic Beasts five-film series. People of all ages have been enthralled by these extraordinary adventures, set within an expanding universe, inspired by the vision of J.K. Rowling.

Wizarding World Digital (WWD) was formed as a JV between Warner Bros. and Pottermore, with a mission to provide a unified, expansive, innovative, franchise-wide digital experience for fans and to represent and support the whole franchise and its projects.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a talented and ambitious Senior Data Analyst to help us make strategic product decisions that will delight ever more fans across our WWD products and channels. In this role, you will oversee the analytics strategy for the WWD portfolio, working closely with the Product and Growth Marketing teams to define success metrics, gather data requirements, and deliver actionable insights to improve business performance. You will translate complex business questions into appropriate analytical projects that you will manage autonomously and communicate effectively to a range of stakeholders.

You will be responsible for supporting data collection on all platform implementations (currently Google Analytics 360 Suite and Salesforce, but the ideal candidate should be tool agnostic) and assuring the validity of the data on a continuing basis. This is a highly visible role within the organization that requires advanced analytical skills and an ability to work across a broad range of datasets.

The position is located at our offices in Los Angeles, but we are open to remote location for the right candidate.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work closely with the Product and Growth Marketing teams to establish goals and KPIs to help monitor ongoing business performance.
• Analyze user behavioral data (engagement, retention, etc.) to identify patterns and opportunities to optimize user experience on the Wizarding World website and Harry Potter Fan Club mobile app.
• Evaluate marketing campaign data to determine opportunities to improve audience reach and impact via our Wizarding World managed channels.
• Communicate actively with business stakeholders to understand their needs, plan analytical solutions that will assist them, and communicate insights clearly and effectively.
• Create, maintain, and continuously optimize reports and performance dashboards that are distributed regularly to a broad range of stakeholders.
• Centralize and standardize digital tracking, analytics, and associated data quality.
• Administer analytics accounts, properties, user management, dashboards, and reports.
• Diagnose issues with existing platform configurations and tags and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Support stakeholders to create custom reports for their business needs.
• Act as the primary liaison with WarnerMedia's central Data Services organization and collaborate to deliver on WWD's overall needs as an organization.

QUALIFICATIONS
• 4+ years of web/app analytics experience using databases and analytics tools to solve business problems.
• Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Math, Finance, Statistics, Engineering, or other quantitative discipline.
• Demonstrated history of translating complex data sets into clear, actionable insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working cross-functionally with development teams, marketing teams, product managers, and executives.
• Thorough familiarity with SQL, Google Analytics 360 suite, and BI and data visualization tools (such as Tableau).
• Ability to foster teamwork and collaboration, but also able to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• A critical thinker with aptitude to isolate and fix technical issues related to the flow of data.
• Passionate about the accuracy of data and its value to inform business decisions.

DESIRED/ADDITIONAL SKILLS
• Experience in media and/or entertainment a plus.
• Experience with a direct-to-consumer web/app product a plus.
• Experience with R/Python in data-focused full stack environments a plus.
• Experience with A/B testing tools (such as Optimizely), project management tools (such as Jira), and/or social media analytics tools (such as Sprinklr) a plus.
