Job Description
Primary Purpose of Job:

The Data Analyst is responsible for the analytics, preparation and visualization of consumer-focused data from online sources and derived from our internal data lake.

Key Responsibilities:

An analytics expert who is truly passionate about marketing and data. Work strategically with the team on answers what drives and motivates our consumer:
• Monitoring of consumer buzz, comparison to other results with possibly investigation of the difference
• Visualization of various results from adhoc surveys and findings of the team and Marketing VP
• Troubleshooting, maintenance and further development of existing reports (Tableau)
• Analysis of which data is already available and can be used for reportings?
• Collaborate with external data source providers to receive and review data files
• Make recommendations for appropriate solutions/responses

Support an array of info and data systems issues:
• Data analytics and reporting software (Tableau, MicroStrategy, SQL, Excel, Nielsen, Internal data sources)
• Video and Graphics software (PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Cloud)
• Application programming (VBA, .NET, JavaScript, PowerShell)
• File Sharing (Shared Drives, SharePoint, OneDrive, Box, Aspera, Internal research hub)

Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications/Work Experience:
• Bachelors degree or higher in related field required, including Marketing, Marketing Research, Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, etc.
• Working experience as Data Analyst; ideally with knowledge in Data Science
• Strong analytical skills are required, including the ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and summarize actionable
• Must have understanding of API's (Application Programming Interface)
• Ideally have experience with Amazon Web Services
• Experience with reading and interpreting digital research analytics is preferred
• Basic technical skills are required, including experience with SQL, data mining, data visualization, and designing analytics/reporting data layers
• Establish and maintain highly effective customer-focused working relationships
• Strong follow-up abilities with a high attention to detail
• Must have advanced Excel knowledge – specifically building and maintaining macros
• Must have Proficiency in PowerPoint
• Translate technical speak and troubleshooting steps in a clear and concise manner that even my grandmother would understand
• Must enjoy movies and series; have a passion for them!
