Job Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Vice President of Production will be responsible for managing the production of our animated content from pre-production to final delivery. They will oversee all aspects of the animation production process, including budgeting, scheduling, and staffing. They will work closely with the creative team, producers and other stakeholders to ensure our productions are executed smoothly and efficiently.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with SVP Production and VP Production Finance to create production schedules and budgets. Oversees and creates production workflows/pipelines for productions ranging from 2D, Flash, Digital and CGI.
• Provide leadership and guidance to Producers, Line Producers, Associate Producers on their projects. Identify challenges, analyze risks and work with appropriate teams to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with SVP of Production, Creative Executives, Producers, Writers and Directors on the development of all projects. Ensures a smooth transition from development into production.
• Work closely with all teams to evaluate scripts from a production perspective and provide internal budget forecasting and target budgets prior to greenlight.
• Assist with training and mentoring of production management staff across all production.
• Assist with recruitment of internal and external talent across various productions.
• Evaluate and recommend potential production companies.
• Negotiate agreements with overseas and domestic studios. Oversees workflow between WBA and studios, including retakes.
• Develop and establishes new production methodologies to increase efficiencies, manages costs and nurtures innovation for 2D, Flash, Digital and CGI productions.
• Collaborate with Business & Legal Affairs, to determine appropriate terms and conditions for working with outside vendors.
• Research emerging industry trends and production techniques to constantly refine and improve production methodologies. Develops new production efficiencies or cost savings.
• Provide back-up support to SVP, Production in approving rates for and/or negotiating salaries in hiring Local 839 artists. Approves all hiring forms for artists and vendors.
• Other responsibilities as needed or assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Work Experience
• Minimum 10 years hands-on experience in animated television production management. Requires thorough knowledge of entire animation process, including all aspects from development through delivery and both traditional and CGI.
• Strong track record of delivering animated series/streaming movies, dtvs) on time and within budget.
• Experience working with various mediums such as CG, 2D, flash and Harmony/digital required.
• Experience with theatrical / movie production preferred.
• Strong passion for animation and deep understanding of animation industry.

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
• B/A or B/S degree in related field preferred.

Knowledge/Skills
• Extensive knowledge of animation project bidding, budgeting, production and physical media delivery and distribution.
• Exceptional leadership and motivational abilities.
• Approachable demeanor and ability to problem solve interpersonal/systematic issues.
• Knowledge of the Postproduction and CG animation software required.
• Must have strong skills in strategic planning and execution across simultaneous projects.
• Must have the ability to problem solve under tight scheduling and budgetary pressures to ensure delivery of programs on-time and at or under budget.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $167,020.00 - $310,180.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
