Job Description
The VP, Cloud Security is an important member of WBD's Global Information and Content Security (GISC) team and will oversee all security efforts for Warner Bros. Discovery's cloud infrastructure. The person taking this exciting position will be part of building the next evolution in cloud security across a diverse set of technologies and talented people. This role will report directly to the SVP of Product, Application and Cloud Security.

Key Areas of Responsibility
• Attract, retain and grow high performing and diverse global cloud security teams.
• Collaborate with senior management and department leaders to identify opportunities to improve WBD's cloud security posture and establish a roadmap to mature the cloud security program.
• Enable members of the Cloud Security teams to implement solutions (built in-house or purchased from vendors) while maintaining an awareness of cloud-costs and the cost implications of the security controls implemented.
• Stay current with the latest cloud threat mitigation techniques and continuously enable real time security monitoring/alerting via anomaly detection, cloud security related tools and security focused logging.
• Evolve and innovate in the areas of cloud security posture management, preventative measures, auto-configuration and auto-remediation.
• Establish and enable a high security bar for all container environments across repositories, CI/CD pipelines and runtime analysis.
• Grow and nurture relationships with engineering executives and DevOps teams to create a security by default culture.
• Lead collaboration on paved path solutions, example security related IAC, golden security AMI and container images.
• Streamline the processes of cloud security architecture & technical cloud based 3rd party security reviews.
• Establish cloud security baseline and governance around secure configuration, security observability/audit, cloud and host plane matters, specific service requirements, authentication, authorization, banned products or suppliers, etc.

The best candidate for this role will possess:
• Hybrid work environment. Must be based in the Warner Bros. Discovery office, minimum three (3) -days/week.
• Bachelor's degree in related field, such as Business, IT, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
• 15+ years of work experience in Information technology fields with 5+ years of experience focused on public cloud.
• Minimum 7+ years leadership experience including leading multiple functional teams.
• Strong understanding of cloud-based infrastructure components with specific understanding of the security risks presented by large and complex hybrid cloud environments including AWS, GCP and Azure.
• Technical leadership background in one or more of the following areas (in AWS, GCP, Azure):
• Cloud security administration
• Cloud security architecture
• Cloud network engineering
• Cloud engineering
• Cloud governance
• Container security or engineering
• Active learner with a thirst for knowledge and constantly driven to stay current with evolving cloud technologies and related security landscapes.
• Working, real-world, knowledge of operationalizing cloud native security tools at scale (AWS Guard Duty, AWS WAF, GCP Security Center)
• Outstanding strategic planning and management skills, ability to think creatively, and strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills.
• Able to interact, communicate and partner with executives. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and proven ability to work effectively at all organizational levels.
• Experience working in an international business environment, supervising a geographically dispersed team.
• Available for global business travel.
• Ability to manage and influence across time zones and virtual/in-office teams.
