Transmission Engineer

Job Description

This position is responsible for design, deliver and maintain infrastructure related to signal delivery under the best standards available in the company, to fuel business processes in the Linear and D2C business.
Your Role Accountabilities
• Perform procedures and maintenance activities to ensure availability of Transmission infrastructure in the international/LATAM business
• Prepare/Maintain Standard Operation Procedures for other tech areas
• Provide Level 2 support to operations before and during Live Events
• Analyze and assess new technologies aimed to improve service availability
• Be aware of major market trends and new technologies to propose improves in WBD content delivery platforms

Qualifications & Experiences
• Experienced as Engineer in Media/Production/Content providers companies
• Fluent in English
• Broad knowledge and experience in OnPrem/Cloud Technology Compression and Distributions (AWS/VOS)
• Experience in Zixi/SRT/RIST and OTT Protocols
• Broad knowledge and experience in Video compression protocols (AVC/VC1/HEVC)
• Broad knowledge of Satellite transmission and RF infrastructure. Uplink/Downlink C-Band, Modulation (DVBS2x)
Desirable
• General knowledge of routing protocols (CCNA level)
• Fluent in Portuguese
• Business continuity resilience experience
• ITIL framework for service providers
