Your New Role
The Transition Manager will hold a key position within the GBS Transition Team. This role will be responsible for the planning and delivery of transitions across the multi-functional GBS organization. The role is primarily responsible for planning, executing, and stabilizing transitions within the GBS organization, both on time and budget. This role will involve working globally with internal and external key stakeholders e.g., GBS, retained WBD organizations and outsource partners.
Your Role Accountabilities
• Transition Planning & Execution - Plan and execute WBD GBS transitions across multiple functions and global locations according to the GBS transition methodology and playbook. Create transition plans and documents to outline project expectations, scope, schedule, and budget requirements. Ensure all transition tollgates have been met and operations are stabilized before transition shutdown.
• Workshop Participation - Participate in workshops with executive leadership to develop transition scope, resource requirements, timelines, communication plans and budgets in line with GBS transition methodology and playbook.
• Liaise With Transition Support Functions - Ensure staffing and infrastructure is in place to effectively execute transition. Liaise with Human Resources on staffing impacts and technology and facilities for infrastructure and access set-up.
• Transition Status Updates - Keep all parties involved with the transition updated on its progress. Build close rapport with key internal stakeholders and clients. Create reports and presentations to keep executive leadership up to date on transition schedule, budget, and status. Facilitate daily/weekly/monthly meetings with all stakeholders to collect status and discuss issues.
• Transition Issue Management & Resolution - Spot any transition-related issues and risks and propose effective solutions to resolve them swiftly. Propose recommendations for any requests for transition changes to Transition Lead for approval. Provide guidance and direction transition participants across the organization.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Accounting, Technology, Human Resources) required, MBA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a large multinational corporation with at least part of that time working in a global shared services organization.
• Experience leading large scale, high visibility business process transitions.
• Experience managing projects/teams across various global locations.
• Experience driving process improvement.
• Combination of experience in both accounting ERP systems and management information systems.
• Successful track record of leading projects and development/delivery of complex solutions.
• SAP usage or SAP design/implementation experience preferred.
• International experience required.
• Strong management, decision-making and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic and pragmatic with the ability to carry an idea through execution.
• Strong planning, organization and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy as well as strong organizational skills.
• Results oriented mindset with a drive to achieve objectives.
• Ability to interact professionally (written and verbal) with GBS Customers and all levels of WBD management and staff and outside vendors.

• Competency with Process Improvement methodologies and tools e.g., Six Sigma, Lean etc.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally
