This position will support Product, Application and Cloud security projects within the Global Information & Content Security (GICS) team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Cybersecurity Program Manager, this role will assist with GICS technical security initiatives and sprints. As a Technical Scrum Lead (TSL) you will play a crucial role in supporting the execution of a wide range of security initiatives. Your role will include running agile ceremonies, managing a backlog, and helping teams drive toward quarterly deliverables. The TSL will effectively and efficiently manage sprints from planning to execution to review in an agile environment. You will be responsible for communicating and collaborating with the engineering, product, and senior management teams.
Your Role Accountabilities...
• Drive team iteration execution, communicate with management and stakeholders and protect the team from uncontrolled injection of work (changes are evaluated/intentional).
• Provide guidance and insights to senior leadership regarding the technical aspects of product security and strategic planning.
• Lead the adoption of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) based frameworks to drive decision-making on various initiatives and enhance overall security strategy.
• Plan, execute, and oversee multi-quarter security initiatives, ensuring they were delivered on time while meeting security requirements.
• Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication of security requirements and progress.
• Create and maintain detailed project plans, status reports, and metrics dashboards ensuring clear communication of project progress and potential roadblocks.
• Work with internal stakeholders to refine and prioritize items on the backlog, ensuring the team is working on the prioritized agile stories and on key deliverables.
• Facilitates agile ceremonies, such as Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective, for Information Security functions and teams ensuring cohesiveness and consistent operation models.
• Manage projects and facilitate sprint releases.
• Coaches the team on Scrum practices and principles and helps with continuously improve.
• Provide guidance and support to team members on Jira best practices, ensuring consistent usage and adherence to standards.
• Configure and customize Jira workflows, boards, and project settings to align with project requirements and Agile methodologies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency enhancements within the product security domain.
• Manage project conflicts, challenges, and dynamic business requirements to keep operations running at a high performance.
• Create or analyze business requirements documents and project timelines.
Required Qualifications & Experience...
• Ability to work a hybrid model (3 days onsite) out of our Atlanta office.
• Minimum 5 years of Scrum Master experience and 2 years leading sprints.
• Proven experience and expertise in agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, etc.
• Hands-on experience using JIRA for Agile Stories, Epics, and Initiatives.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
• Proven experience delivering complex initiatives from an engineering and agile project management standpoint.
• Proven experience resolving cross-team prioritization conflicts and ability to tackle these problems using decision-making frameworks.
• Expert coach on implementation of agile scrum
• Strong understanding of the SDLC
• Experience working with Information Security teams to assess and size stories/epics.
• Broad knowledge of Security technologies, processes, and techniques
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with an added emphasis on messaging to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications & Experience...
• Knowledge of Information Security principles, processes, and techniques
• Knowledge of security practices such as OWASP top 10.
• Relevant certification (Security+,CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, ITIL)
• Knowledge of and passion for media, entertainment, and technology industries (including key players, growth trends and drivers, new media models, industry structure, etc.)
• Familiarity with ad tech, AI, streaming and similar products/services
• Experience working in a global company
