Job Description
Your New Role...

The System Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining systems operations, including server maintenance, installation, upgrades, and optimization of systems for hardware, software, servers, and network devices for the Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Marketing (WWTVM) team. You will be part of a talented team that delivers mission critical infrastructure at the highest level of availability, performance and security. The System Engineer automates delivery and media workflows to improve systems, and processing of media. This position is responsible for charting inefficiencies working with the team on system improvements. The Systems Engineer will also provide trouble shooting support for the team in the event of system failures.

Your Role Accountabilities...
• Manages server maintenance, installation, optimization and upgrades for WWTVM Systems
• Undertakes system fault investigations across the WWTVM environment and work with WBD Technical Operations and/or third party vendors to identify and document technical problems, A/V issues, bugs, etc.
• Writes, tests, implements and maintains custom scripts to improve resilience and efficiency of the existing WWTVM environment by lowering human intervention requirements
• Maximizes network performance by monitoring and troubleshooting network problems and outages.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience...

Work Experience
• Minimum 5 years as a Server Admin
• Minimum 2 years in scripting development (Perl, Java Script, Shell Scripting)
• Live Production, Advanced Desktop Support, Advanced Networking and troubleshooting preferred
• Previous audio/video systems engineering experience preferred.
• Previous experience in Customer Service preferred

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
• Bachelor's degree required
• Coursework in TV Production, Engineering or Computer Science preferred
• Strong Computer Skills including Microsoft Office and Databases
• Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of Build System Management ''Agile Project Management''

Knowledge/Skills
• Aspera: Faspex, P2P, Console, and Enterprise Server
• Avid Media Composer & Avid Interplay
• Programming Languages: Perl, Java Script, Shell Scripting
• Database Experience: MS SQL, Oracle, Postgresql, Mysql,
• Web Servers: Microsoft ASP, Apache, Tomcat
• Encoders: Telestream Vantage
• Knowledge of broadcast standards
• File-based post-production workflows
• Hierarchical Storage environments
• Life-cycle data management (archive/restore procedures)
• Communication skills - Verbal and Written
• Data collection, management, and analysis
• Judgment and Decision Making
Other Requirements
• 24/7 on-call capability during critical periods and projects
• Must have ability to communicate effectively & tactfully with persons on all levels, in person, & on telephone
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and have ability to organize & schedule work effectively
• Must enjoy working with people and help to fix any technical issues that arise.
• Must pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions
• Must be available to handle urgent issues at all times
• Must have the ability to work well under time constraints
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
• Must be able to work overtime as required

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $62,797.00 - $116,624.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
