Your New Role...

This role operates as part of our digital web and app newsroom for the UK, working across both Eurosport and TNT Sports. The role sits under a group of senior editors, and reporting into the director of digital for the UK.

Your Role Accountabilities....
• Contributing written editorial, involving breaking news; interviews with talent and athletes; and some live text coverage where needed
• Sub-editing copy from freelancers and other permanent staff, ensuring compliance with style and optimising for SEO
• Additionally on some evenings and weekends there would be some overall site management, and being responsible for the front end across brands and platforms
• Occasional freelance management, around news output and also live text coverage
• Checking, editorialising and publishing video content supplied by wider production teams

Qualifications and Experience...
• A proven track record within an editorial team, creative agency or digital content operation
• Experience as a member of a content or creative team would be advantageous
• Highly creative with a strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of processes, platforms and tools to deliver cutting-edge, data-driven content
• Strong proactivity, collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast moving matrix environment
• Taking initiative and working without supervision
• Flexible, can-do attitude with the ability to fill multiple roles seamlessly when rota demands dictate
• Evening & weekend work will be required
• Occasional travel will also be required
• Multi-language ability is a bonus
