Your New Role

As a key part of our team, a Sr. Technical Program Manager is responsible for managing multiple programs of work, orchestrated across a wide spectrum of teams from early product definition and design all the way through to release, utilizing a variety of development methods. On the Business side, we require Sr. Technical PMs with experience shipping multiple products across multiple platforms, all while making the thoughtful trade-offs required to deliver a product that aligns with stakeholder expectations, in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment. The role requires excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to diagram workflows at a whiteboard, and lead focused team meetings. In this role EQ and relationship building skills is equally, if not more important than engineering aptitude. The candidate will work across the entire organization, with each cross-functional team that contributes to the success of the B/R org.

Your Role Accountabilities
• Drive consensus with the following groups to manage digital initiatives: Operations, Strategy, Business Operations, Sales, Creative, Digital Ads, Editorial, Multimedia, and others as appropriate
• Collaborate with Product and Business Operations to manage third party vendors and drive planning efforts in support of new features/products.
• Direct and collaborate with project teams to produce documents and craft communications ranging from requirements to program status to executive presentations.
• Expected to be self-motivated, proactive and solution oriented. They must be willing to lead technical projects, assist team members in meeting their individual goals and to promote a positive attitude and work culture.
• Manage multiple projects within a larger project portfolio end-to-end, including the UX, Design, Research and Product Development phase.
• Communicate status, issues, risks, and actions among all working teams
• Build and maintain relationships with matrixed teams across the organization
• Ensure tracking to closure of all problems, issues, dependencies, or risks escalated to management
• Establish tracking and roll-up of project milestones and metrics for program level status reporting.
• Establish and manage stakeholder expectations, revise plans and shift priorities as needed in conjunction with all contributing resources
• Work with business, product and development teams to tease out implementation details and identify roadblocks before they occur.
• Discover and articulate technical requirements and dependencies on external development teams as deliverables change.
• In this role, early requirements may not be well-defined, and depending on various factors, they may change frequently. The successful candidate will maintain flexibility during uncertainty and be able to drive teams through this phase until scope is clearly defined and well understood by all team members.

Qualifications & Experiences
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
• 5+ years of experience running multiple technical projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem solving, expectation management and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including negotiation and problem resolution within a cross-functional team.
• Able to adapt when faced with frequently changing and sometimes ambiguous goals.
• Ability to drive the definition of project scope, create detailed project plans, and facilitate the collection of engineering, operational, and business requirements.
• Strong project reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication.
• Ability to work within multiple project and engineering frameworks (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, SAFe, Lean, etc.)
• Nimble business mind with a focus on developing creative solutions.
• Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills that promotes interaction at all levels of the organization.
• Acumen to communicate the impact of feature or schedule changes to teams that are potentially affected.
