The Job

Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) is looking for an experienced Sr. Tax Analyst to join our dynamic tax function. As a multinational media and entertainment business, the Sr. Tax Analyst will be involved in all aspects of the by-title content costing and amortization process for all WBD divisions. This role will be involved in the preparation and review of various tax calculations related to content productions and content cost recovery. In addition, this role will be involved in WBD's research and planning efforts to maximize tax efficiencies.

The Daily
• Prepare and review WBD by-title content costs recovery under the income forecast method IRC 167(g), 168(k), 181 and other relevant tax provisions for the quarterly tax accounting submissions and tax returns
• Track and substantiate deferred tax assets/liabilities
• Prepare and review various book/tax adjustments related to content productions
• Prepare and review by-title support workpapers for BEAT, foreign source income and tax basis balance sheet calculations
• Maintain customized SAP tax solution systems
• Drive innovation and transformation within by-title tax compliance through continued process improvement and automations
• Supports industry and legislative analysis, initiatives, and strategy

The Essentials
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
• Strong analytical skills and high level of attention to details
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to develop and sustain good working relationships with key stakeholders
• Self-starter who takes appropriate initiative to resolve issues and solve problems
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience manipulating and analyzing large volumes of data
• Strong communication skills and proven ability to develop professional relationship with internal and external parties

The Nice to Haves
• CPA
• Master's degree in Taxation
• Advanced computer software skills such as Alteryx
• Working knowledge and experience with SAP
• Prior experience with studios/entertainment industry
