Job Description
The Senior Manager Trade Marketing will be responsible for leading the development and execution of strategic trade marketing initiatives to support affiliate partners and drive subscriber growth across Warner Bros. Discovery's portfolio in Argentina, with a strong emphasis on streaming and sports. This role will focus on designing and executing impactful B2B and B2B2C marketing campaigns that strengthen partner relationships and enhance the visibility of WBD's brands and sports content across affiliate platforms. Acting as a critical bridge between marketing, distribution sales, and strategic partners, the Senior Manager will ensure the seamless implementation of campaigns, promotions, and point-of-sale materials across both physical and digital touchpoints.
Your Role Accountabilities
• Strategic Trade Marketing Leadership (30%): Design and execute comprehensive trade marketing strategies tailored to the Argentinean market, with a strong emphasis on streaming and sports. Focus on driving subscriber growth, enhancing brand positioning, and increasing audience engagement across all platforms.
• Affiliate Partnership Development (20%): Collaborate closely with affiliate partners-including cable operators, telcos, and digital platforms-to co-create and implement high-impact marketing campaigns. Ensure flawless execution across all distribution channels to maximize brand visibility and subscriber acquisition.
• Cross-Functional Coordination (10%): Act as a central liaison between internal teams (marketing, distribution, legal, programming, creative, digital, etc.) to ensure timely, aligned, and effective campaign execution.
• Budget and Project Management (10%): Oversee the trade marketing budget in Argentina, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and measurable return on investment. Manage timelines, agency relationships, and project deliverables for all affiliate marketing initiatives.
• Market Intelligence and Performance Analysis (10%): Monitor and analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and campaign performance. Translate insights into actionable recommendations to continuously optimize marketing strategies and execution.
• Team Leadership and Development (10%): Lead, mentor, and develop the local trade marketing team. Foster a high-performance culture rooted in collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence.
• Activation and Sales Enablement (5%): Ensure the effective deployment of commercial incentives, POP materials, and activations. Lead the creation of localized promotional toolkits and co-branded assets aligned with key industry and sports events and sales initiatives.
• Industry Representation (5%): Represent Warner Bros. Discovery at industry events, sports marketing forums, and strategic partner meetings, reinforcing the company's leadership and visibility in the Argentinean market.
Qualifications and Experience
• 7+ years of experience in Trade Marketing, Marketing, or Sales, preferably within the media, entertainment, sports, or telecommunications industries.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Commercial Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of the Argentinean market, with a deep understanding of the sports media landscape and consumer behavior.
• Proven track record in developing and executing B2B marketing campaigns and managing affiliate partnerships.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing cross-functional teams and delivering results in local or regional markets.
• Exceptional analytical, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
• Genuine passion for sports, with familiarity with key leagues, events, and fan engagement dynamics are considered a strong asset.
