Job Description
The Sr. Workday Integration Developer position is responsible for developing and supporting critical applications in the Enterprise Technology, HR Solutions and Provisioning portfolio. This position will gather requirements, produce technical designs, perform development, testing, deployment, and operational support activities. This position will focus on designing and building solutions in the Workday Integration and Workday Extend environments, using Workday Studio, Workday's WCP's Visual Presentation Services, Workday Integrations (Rest/EIB/Raas/Studio), Workday Function services, and AWS API's (typically Lambda, with Python or JavaScript). Workday Prism is also used to transform and mange some data flows. This position will also support applications and solutions in user and application directory management, user on/off-boarding automation and account provisioning in compliance with company policies. This includes assessment and adoption of modern authorization technologies enabling user lifecycle management, off the shelf and custom developed tools within the department, including various AWS services, AD and .Net/SQL based applications, and custom applications built using python, JavaScript (AWS hosted), and PowerShell to automate tasks. Successful candidate can make overall technical architecture recommendations, detailed technical designs, learn and evangelize new technologies.
Development
• Design, develop, deploy, support, and manage application code, user interfaces, and third-party integration components for customized Workday solutions using Workday Studio, PRISM, BIRT, EIB, connectors, calculated fields, RaaS, web services, XSLT, and xPath.
• Builds WCP code, configuration, custom objects, user interfaces, workflows, and AWS API extension services to support the WCP processes.
• Build supporting TDS documentation for all new integrations; maintain documentation for existing integration modifications.
• Monitor for Integration Errors and troubleshoot as necessary.
• Protect and exercise discretion when working with sensitive employee data.
• Follow documented development standards, procedures when building, testing, and deploying integrations.
• Leads and facilitates innovation, continuous improvement, and effective troubleshooting and problem-solving. Defines and measures success criteria, leveraging the latest industry knowledge and best practices. Proactively experiments with and analyzes new approaches and complex, diverse, and/or conflicting datasets to identify root causes.
• Mentors and guides team members and peers, developing and maintaining problem-solving methodologies, frameworks, and training resources. STRATEGY
• Continued enhancement of technical skills through formal Workday training and self-learning.
• Partners with user and Technology teams to define and capture business requirements, technical requirements, determines scope, and estimates the effort in the development of Technology requirements. Leads application development related activities while ensuring that appropriate governance exists for all delivery of technology solutions.
• Accurately and clearly articulate strategic issues and provide relevant, logical options for solving them.
• Create comprehensive and meaningful strategy presentations for senior executives.
• Ability to build a framework and drive development through dynamic business intelligence tools and dashboards for use in ongoing business planning and goal measurement through KPIs.
