The Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) Strategic Sourcing Specialist for Production Technology Procurement supports category strategy development and associated initiatives for all Production Technology subcategories for the company. Production Technology represents ~$50M in third party spend across WBD's 30+ brands and is a key contributor to business success and revenue growth.
This role is responsible for supporting Production procurement projects. He/she/they will be developing complex analysis within WBD Procurement and should have prior experience in procurement. Example projects this role would provide sourcing support for may include software for production finance / accounting activities, production and post production software and/or hardware for production asset lifecycle management, workflow tools, content collaboration tools, editing tools, etc.
The role works with the Head of Production & Content Supply Chain Procurement, the lead of Production Technology Procurement, and business stakeholders to implement sourcing strategies and manage supplier relationships. He/she/they practices formalized sourcing best practices and abiding by standards and procedures. This position is charged with being resourceful, conducting marketplace and project specific information gathering and synthesis, monitoring supplier performance, and ensuring continuous improvement.

Your Role Accountabilities...
Category Management
• Support development and execution of sourcing strategies for production technology.
• Follow procurement processes and contribute to process improvement discussions.
• Gather market insights and business requirements to inform decisions.
• Assist with RFx processes activities by collecting and compiling supplier responses.
• Assist with data gathering for sourcing initiatives and cost analysis.
• Coordinate internal updates and support stakeholder communications.
• Participate in internal meetings to understand procurement priorities and team goals and supplier evaluations.
• Contribute to cost-saving initiatives, supplier diversity, and sustainability efforts.
• Follow procurement processes and contribute to process improvement discussions.
• Participate in internal meetings to understand procurement priorities and team goals.
Supplier Selection / Management
• Assist with supplier identification, evaluations, including financial health and capabilities.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships across divisions.
• Prepare basic materials for supplier & stakeholder meetings or performance updates.
• Support periodic reviews and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Promote supplier diversity and sustainability in selection processes.
Sourcing-driven Project Management
• Review all new projects to ensure accurate tech intake assignments within the team.
• Support sourcing-related projects to ensure timelines and goals are met.
• Assist in coordinating tasks across teams and maintaining project progress.
• Respond to inquiries from business users, escalating complex issues when needed.
Financial, Cost, Spend Analysis; Cost Savings Reporting
• Assist with spend analysis, bid evaluations, and cost-saving calculations.
• Liaise with Finance and other WBD personnel to support projects and facilitate contracting process.
• Support tracking and compliance reporting using procurement tools.
• Help develop insights from financial data to inform sourcing decisions.
• Leverages Sourcing Tools & Process team and spend management tool during opportunity assessment to conduct market research and determine baseline spend and associated cost.
• Thinks creatively to find new, effective ways to solve financial and analytical problems.
Negotiations, Contract Creation & Management
• Assist with contract preparation and administration.
• Collect requirements from bidders & stakeholders to assist in contract drafting.
• Support negotiation efforts to ensure favorable pricing and terms.
• Coordinate with legal and internal teams to maintain compliance and streamline processes.
Qualifications & Experience...
• 2-3 years strategy, operations and sourcing experience in a sophisticated sourcing environment with demonstrated stakeholder and vendor management experience.
• Experience in the Media & Entertainment industry with exposure to film, television, and live production is strongly preferred, especially in production technology.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or a technical major is required.
• Professional accreditation in sourcing / procurement preferred.
