Meet Our Team:

The Global QA team helps to span development, execution and reporting on various test activities as it relates to the Global Warner Bros. Discovery product. They will be responsible for technology, tools, automation initiatives as it relates to QA activities working with Frontend Client and Backend service teams spread across US / EMEA / APAC teams. The QA team works closely with the Quality engineering and framework team to consume the QA-aaS pipeline and drive improvements to QA automation activities as we scale our global platform.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Must Have:

Non functional Testing
• Successful track record of instrumenting tools, automation, and processes at scale for frontend and backend nonfunctional quality engineering activities (Api, User journey, Load, Security, Stress, chaos engineering, accessibility)
• Responsible for the overall Performance life cycle of the solution and manage complex projects with significant bottom-line impact
• Extensive experience with baseline, benchmark, load, stress and endurance testing for performance.
• Defining performance metrics, analyzing the usage of the application.
• Hands-on experience working with client-side performance testing across OTT devices with understanding of device specific metrics such as memory, CPU, power, network etc. and transaction specific metrics such as page/screen performance, response time etc.
• Understanding of automation workflows, CICD release pipelines, test environments across multiple products and release within an agile development framework.

Tech Stack
• Good hands-on exposure of the load, stress, performance and Chaos engineering tools and framework includes but not limited to JMeter, Gatling, K6, Locust, blaze Meter, Cloud based load testing, Gremlin, LoadRunner etc.
• Hands-on experience on application performance monitoring tools includes but not limited to New Relic, Datadog, Splunk, AppDynamics.
• Hands-on experience in metrics visualization tools and dashboards such as Grafana, Kibana, Telegraf etc.

Leadership Qualities
• Participate in operational excellence activities for the entire organization.
• Work with Product and technical stakeholders, as well as Project Management, to define project requirements and deliverables, and, ultimately, plan and manage the timely delivery of high quality projects.
• Build a culture of performance engineering excellence team (quality, security, performance, scalability, availability, resilience etc.)

Good to have
• Experience using various tools and technologies such as JIRA, Confluence, GitHub
• Experience working with DevOps teams to drive improvements in Release Tools pipeline for automated tracking and reporting on release artifacts: JIRA items, sprint scope, bug report, test report, release notes.
• Good to understand security testing methodologies such as Sast, Dast, Pen testing etc.
• Good to know accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.0 AA, AAA

Qualifications:

What to Bring:
• 14 - 18 years of experience in building and growing a distributed NFR test engineering team with strong skills in scenario development, automation, optimization, load test execution, and result reporting.
• Demonstrated experience in test planning, test design, test strategy, and test execution of highly complex systems.
• Proven ability to hire top talent and develop team members into roles of greater responsibility.
• 8+ years' experience in large scale global product launches through a scalable automated release pipeline workflow leveraging CICD workflows and automation workflows.
• You have the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to meet aggressive goals and pre-defined measurement criteria
• You have strong written communication, problem solving, process management, cross-team collaboration, and high customer empathy
• Strive in a culture of innovation – always exploring ways to say yes and try out new ideas and living outside your comfort zone
• You are comfortable handling multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• You influence teams and groups outside your wider organization with your deep insight and strategic thinking.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field
• Must be willing to travel
