Warner Bros. Set Lighting & Rigging provides state-of-the-art lighting and rigging equipment to productions of all sizes in the film and TV industry on both studio and location shoots.

We are based at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden (WBSL), and while we provide packages for all
on- lot studio productions, we also have a wealth of experience at providing expert services to national and international productions. Our clients include all the major US studios, as well as independent film and TV companies, broadcasters, and production companies for commercial and pop promos. Our priority is ensuring that every client gets exactly what they need for a successful production.

With our wealth of experience and collaborative nature, we work closely with productions to provide bespoke solutions whatever the size and scale of the production and provide support to ensure the production runs smoothly. We are a well-established and highly trusted

Your New Role...
• The Position works within the WBSL Set Lighting Department, supporting the Set-Lighting team with dimming and control rental projects.
• The Dimming and Control Specialist is to engage in the preparation of lighting equipment for Set Lighting clients.
• You will be responsible for testing underwater equipment and maintaining specialist Dimming and Control equipment.

Your Role Accountabilities...
• Maintain high level of technical knowledge of lighting and Dimming and Control systems.
• Preparing Dimming and Control equipment for rental project to client requirements
• Troubleshooting, repairing and maintenance of Dimming and Control equipment.
• Pick and return equipment from the warehouse for Production rentals orders on the WB Rental system.
• Check all returning Dimming and Control stock for quality control.
• Bar code equipment and put WB identification markers on equipment.
• Maintain the warehouse.
• Establish and maintain working relationships with cliental.

Qualifications & Experience...
• Our apprenticeship positions are designed to be an alternative to university education, therefore we are only seeking applications from people who have not already graduated from university with a degree.
• Understanding of dimming and controls, Avo lighting racks, Grand MS lighting desk.
• Qualification in electronics or equivalent.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, IT networking and protocols.
• Familiar with lighting system software control or similar (e.g. Garage Band, Ableton Live, Reason, Cubase etc.).
• Team player, adaptable to change.
• Consistently looking to improve processes within all operations departments and across the company as a whole.
• Hands on approach and commitment to get the job done.
• Experience with manual handling lighting equipment and loading vehicles is a bonus.

The Apprenticeship...
• Salary: £19 ,700  p/a  
• Contract Length: 18 months   
• Start Date: 25th March 2024
• Qualification: Level 3 Information Communications Technician
• You will gain hands-on experience working on business-critical projects.
