Meet Our Team
Direct-To-Consumers (DTC) many software engineering teams build applications for the web, mobile, tablets, connected TVs, consoles, and other streaming devices. DTC's Release and Delivery Engineering (RDE) team is responsible for providing an easy to use platform for managing source code, and providing CI/CD capabilities across thousands of engineers and thousands of applications.
These technologists provide solutions to DTC's broader engineering community which helps them more effectively operate web, mobile, tablet, connected TV, console, and streaming devices and services.
We are a fast-growing, global engineering group crucial to WBD's future. We need a development leader who is comfortable turning the needs of our engineering community into thoughtful design and architecture, serving as a senior resource for other developers as they build software components. The Senior Staff Software Engineer needs to be both a strong individual contributor in coding and a thought leader for the development team.
Responsibilities
• You play a leadership role across the DTC organization. You are known for your subject matter expertise across cloud platform technologies with focus on developer experience and deployment
• You are responsible for maintaining a platform-based mindset, the systems you design must be architecturally sound and easy to use with a focus on build systems, pipelines, and complex deployments methods.
• You are a key influencer in multiple teams' strategies across the continuous delivery domain and provide significant contributions to planning across the teams.
• You show good judgment making trade-offs between immediate and long-term business needs.
• You still actively seek input where appropriate and engage your team to inform and share what you are doing. You are a force multiplier, and your designs and inputs should elevate those around you.
• Your team trusts your decisions, designs, and code.
• You provide mentoring to senior engineers.
• You describe your design, code, and architectural decisions to junior engineers, principal engineers, and leadership alike. You embrace constructive feedback from these groups and adapt to align with organizational standards and objectives.
• You offer enhancements to best practices, document, design, and architecture improvements,and as feedback through code reviews to other engineers without continuous prompting or recurring encouragement. Other engineers appreciate your feedback.
• You can troubleshoot a production issue by reviewing source code, logs, operational metrics, stack trace etc. to pinpoint a specific problem and then resolve it.
Qualifications
• 10+ years, High proficiency and technical leadership with technologies on our stack including Kubernetes, Crossplane, Argo Rollouts, GoLang and a variety of AWS cloud resources
• You have led teams who designed high scale CI/CD systems
• You have a proven track record of designing and building globally distributed platform systems supporting thousands of services and resources based on Kubernetes
• You are passionate about the developer experience and all of your designs have ease of use in mind
• You have acquired subject-matter expertise over one or more production software systems and demonstrated a pattern of shipping high quality feature changes in that or those system(s).
• You solve business problems with simple and straightforward solutions, applying appropriate technologies and software engineering best practices.
• You deliver high-quality results the first time and improve code, documentation, and results with each iteration. Your team trusts your work.

The Legal Bits…
In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $156,800.00 - $291,200.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
