The Data & Analytics organization is at the forefront of developing and maintaining  frameworks, tools, and data products vital to WBD, including flagship streaming product Max and  non streaming  products such as Films Group,  Sports,  News  and  overall WBD ecosystem.  Our mission is to foster unified analytics and drive  data driven  use cases by  leveraging  a robust multitenant platform and semantic layer. We are committed to delivering innovative solutions that empower teams across the company to catalyze subscriber growth, amplify engagement, and execute  timely , informed decisions, ensuring our continued success in  an ever -evolving  digital landscape. Roles & Responsibilities:

As a Senior Software Engineer here you are passionate about using software-based approaches to solve complex data-driven challenges and automate those solutions. Within our organization, you'll lead efforts aimed at scaling our existing data offerings and establish the technical strategy for how we can better equip engineers and leaders with Data Platform. You'll build a deep understanding of our digital streaming services and use that knowledge, coupled with your engineering, infrastructure, data, and cloud knowledge, to optimize and evolve how we understand our technical ecosystem.

To be successful, you'll need to be deeply technical and possess excellent collaboration skills. You have experience practicing infrastructure-as-code, microservice development, data lake management, monitoring, and supporting production systems. In addition, you'll have strong data system knowledge and troubleshooting abilities.
• Build robust data pipelines that deliver high data quality at scale using Kafka, Flink, and SQL
• Grow your ability to design, implement, and own critical features of a product used by millions of customers
• Have a deep understanding of software data structures and algorithms
• Be a self-starter that can independently solve complex engineering problems
• Maintain high quality coding standards for yourself and your team
• Design and deliver components of a complex distributed system
• Be passionate about software engineering with a strong sense of ownership for the code that you and your team write
• Seek self-improvement and be adaptable to suggestions and feedback
• Hold yourself and your team to high standards while maintaining friendly, respectful relationships

What to Bring:
• BS degree in Computer Science, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience
• 5+ years of professional development experience using languages such as Java, C, C++, C#, Javascript, Typescript, Golang
• Passion for working with high scale data pipelines.
• Some experience with AWS with knowledge of S3, EC2, IAM, Security, Lambda, Networking etc.
• Experience building and operating platforms with Spark, Spark SQL, Parquet and Iceberg, Gen AI tech stack, LLMs, Vector Databases.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience working with low-latency systems operating in a 24x7 environment.
