Job Description
Your role:

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing timely and accurate reporting, analysis, and forecast support for the Warner Bros. Discovery Corporate Segment, working with FP&A counterparts, systems groups, and accounting teams to meet business needs. You will develop deep competencies in this area, providing finance stakeholders the required information for reporting and decision making. Time mainly spent doing consolidated reporting, detailed tracking of drivers/variances, BAU and ad hoc analysis, and providing system support. We work closely with FP&A and accounting teams, support special projects, and support data integrity across systems.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Prepare reports and analysis for forecasts and month end reporting.
• Reconcile actuals vs prior forecast/budget/prior year, and understand drivers. Summarize variance analysis to explain performance. Support timely resolution of issues and post-close activities.
• Understand accounting policies and procedures. Provide guidance to FP&A counterparts, and work with accounting to support activities and resolve issues.
• Support management reporting needs to ensure proper reflection in the system and financial reports.
• Manage ad hoc analysis and financial data requests as needed, generating insights.
• Demonstrate and maintain high standards of accountability to deliver superior quality financial information on a timely basis to FP&A.
• Support development of systems, tools, and processes to facilitate efficient and accurate reporting, forecasting, and analysis.
• Drive process simplification initiatives. Collaborate across boundary partners and share best practices with other FP&A teams.
• Build strong relationships with partner teams to enable the necessary flow of information and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in meetings with FP&A counterparts and accounting to understand the business and ensure consistency in telling the story and presenting financials.

Basic qualifications:
• 4+ years of finance experience, FP&A strongly preferred.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong proficiency in excel and other data analysis techniques. Demonstrated experience in financial modeling.
• Advanced analytical skills, and strong technical accounting experience a plus.
• Critical thinker and strong problem solver with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Very quick learner, especially in fast-paced environments with complex concepts and data structures. Ability to frame issues, articulate findings, and present optimal solutions. Strong organizational skills, problem solving skills, collaboration skills. Proactive in owning activities.
• Proven ability to build confidence and trust with department members and finance partners/ counterparts.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field required.
