Job Description
The Warner Bros. Television Group (WBTVG) oversees and grows the entire portfolio of Warner Bros Discovery television businesses, including worldwide production, traditional and digital distribution, and broadcasting. The WBTVG division produces live-action dramas and comedies, animated series, and unscripted & alternative programming for traditional broadcast networks, cable channels and the first-run syndication marketplace, as well as for subscription/on-demand platforms and digital media outlets.

Studio Controllership Group is Warner Bros Discovery global accounting team. The team serves to provide efficient and scalable global finance and accounting services to the Warner Bros Discovery Group of Companies. We are looking for a Senior Accountant to support TV Group, including TV Production, WB Animation, Theatre Ventures, Alloy Entertainment, and Digital Networks Group. The candidate must be proactive, able to critically think and work independently.

Duties include general ledger stewardship, month end closing and reporting, consolidation of actual results and preparation and review of all financial statements, by title reporting, footnotes, and disclosures. Duties also include Film Cost entries, Footnote and Supplemental schedule preparation, balance sheet account reconciliation review, and working with the offshore teams in India, and onshore trams in the US, Business Unit Finance, and Consolidated Financial Reporting group in support of the closing process.

You Role Accountabilities
• Support day-to-day general accounting and reporting activities.
• Process and maintain Minor Trust
• Prepare Pre-Cost review of Total Production Cost Report
• Review Cadency Account Reconciliations
• Perform Annual Clean Up of Accrued Production Cost balances.
• Assist with PwC Audit Requests (including retrieving supporting documentation).
• Assist with compiling the Capitalized Film Cost Supporting Documentation for SOX Key Control.
• Pro-active planning by establishing and ensuring the assigned tasks timelines and accuracy for the month end close process; ensuring the activities are in compliance with SOX key controls.
• Prepare Monthly and Quarterly Film Cost journal entries (Released Inventory, Completed Not Released, and In Process).
• Review trial balance for Capitalized Film Cost accounts.
• Prepare Term Deal Commitment Schedules
• Prepare Producer Bonus Report.
• Make recommendations on process improvements and standardization to gain greater efficiency and effectiveness within the finance organization.

Qualifications & Experiences
• Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited university
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience required and a strong understanding of US GAAP, SOX requirements, and relevant local GAAP as required
• CPA license (or equivalent) attained or progress toward attainment
• Highly motivated, analytical, proactive, and self-sufficient
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with people on all levels.
• Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions.
• Must have the ability to organize and schedule work effectively.
• Must have the ability to multi-task projects simultaneously and be able to prioritize.
• Must be able to adapt in a changing environment and quickly learn new concepts, solve problems, and implement solutions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel.
• Advanced English

Desirable
• Master's degree in accounting a plus
• Experience working with large amounts of data.
• Experience with SAP.
• Working in shared service and/or outsourcing environment.
• Previous ''Big 4'' accounting experience.
