Your New Role...

The Senior Accountant is a key member of the networks distribution revenue accounting team and is directly responsible for the preparation and review of numerous complex data models to analyze the rate comparisons between various affiliate customers. This work covers 25+ networks. This individual must have an extremely high attention to detail, accuracy, and organization skill. Must also be comfortable and able to read and interpret complex legal contracts and agreements.
Other responsibilities include reviewing compliance terms and issues, preparing financial and trending analysis, performing SOX controls, and other duties as listed below. This role will work closely with key stakeholders in FP&A and internal and external audit.

Your Role Accountabilities
• Handle day-to-day month and quarter end close activities including preparation and review of complex financial models, journal entries, account reconciliations, flux and trend analysis, SOX control documentation, preparation of SEC Reporting deliverables, and other tasks as requested by management ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met on time
• Participate in the review of standard and non-standard affiliate contracts, as needed, to assist in the determination of proper compliance and revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, Company policies, and deal terms.
• Assist with review, tracking and resolution of Affiliate Audits and communication of findings to Legal, Partnership Management, and other relevant parties.
• Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to perform review of accounts and revenue processes and learn about upstream processes to foster a continuous review and improvement environment.
• Perform limited and task appropriate reviews of more junior team member work products and deliverables. Provide direction on work to be completed.
• Provide support to internal and external audit processes, including walkthroughs, interim and year end testing as requested
• Participate in departmental/division/team meetings, professional development and other non-core business activities and initiatives.
• Other ad-hoc tasks as required

Qualifications & Experience...
• 3 - 5 years of work experience in an accounting role and an appropriate understanding of US GAAP and SOX 404 requirements
• BS/BA in related discipline from an accredited university
• Active CPA strongly preferred.
• Prior revenue accounting experience (ASC 606) strongly preferred
• Experience reading and interpreting complex legal contracts
• Experience performing accounting functions in SAP preferred
• Experience using Blackline to post journal entries and perform account reconciliations a plus
• Technically proficient in MS Excel (ability to work with advanced formulas, manipulate and report on high volume data sets, analyze complex financial models, etc.)
• Results oriented, strong attention to detail a must
• Embraces change driven by evolving business initiatives and maintains positivity when time-sensitive milestones shift
• Ability to work independently as well as working collaboratively with team members across the organization and prioritize multiple deliverables with competing deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Big 4 Accounting firm experience a plus
• Legal right to work in the United States
• Able to work flexible hours and overtime during deal renewal periods
