The Senior Accountant, EMEA Direct to Consumer Accounting is a key member of the Controllership team at Warner Bros. Discovery. This role is responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations of the Content Accounting team, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and completeness of financial records across various EMEA territories.

Your Role Accountabilities…
• Perform end-to-end accounting for content assets, liabilities, and expenses on a title-by-title basis
• Ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and compliant with US GAAP and company policies
• Execute month-end close processes, including review and approval of journal entries and financial reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and intercompany discrepancies
• Complete or review account reconciliations to ensure balance sheet accuracy
• Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and maintain a strong internal control environment

Qualifications & Experience...
• Proven experience in accounting with strong understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, and SOX requirements
• BS/BA in Accounting from an accredited university; Master's degree a plus
• CPA or Chartered Accountant (CA) strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of financial systems and ability to master new tools
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
