Job Description
Job Responsibilities:

1. Lead and oversee the execution of general accounting controllership duties in selected territories for the Studios businesses. Oversight responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Oversee accounting close process/teams/outsource providers. Including but not limited to review of all by-title accounting, participation/film cost accounting and support of any 3 rd party audits of WB titles.
• Oversee the timely completion and accuracy of account reconciliations to ensure balance sheet accuracy
• Ensure compliance with SOX requirements, internal control environment
• Managing the Studios EMEA BPO offshore team in India and seeking out process improvements and standardization opportunities to gain greater efficiency and effectiveness.
• Work with other members of the Controllership team to review, and resolve any intercompany discrepancies within the group
• Being point of contact for internal and external auditors
• Prepare and / or approve certain accruals or provide inputs to the SDC teams
• Provide guidance to the team and support troubleshooting and problem solving during month end close.
• Guarantee completeness and accuracy of GL activity; review and analyze trial balance to determine if adjustments are necessary.
• Review system interface reconciliation reports prepared by the BPO and approve all data uploads of financial data to the divisional and corporate enterprise applications (SAP, BW).

2. Engage with key Studio EMEA controllership stakeholders, including FP&A, GBS, COE, Studio Global Process Owners and country specific business unit teams. Ensure a robust understanding of the Television Production business in core operating sectors and provide responsive consultation and information as required in key business decisions.

3. Work closely with territory financial teams on the Studios EMEA statutory filing process, including:
• The preparation and review of statutory financial statements and related audits.
• Manage the statutory filing process working with 3rd party
• Work directly with the Studios territory finance teams, external auditors, local authorities, and WBD management to ensure successful filings.
• Responsible for any local GAAP adjustments required

4. Participate and provide input to key system and process integrations in the Studios

Requirements:
• At least 6 years of work experience in an accounting role and a strong understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, SOX requirements as required
• Prior work experience supervising Accounting Team of a large Company preferred
• BS/BA in Accounting from an accredited university
• Master's degree in accounting a plus
• CPA or Chartered Accountant (CA) strongly preferred
• Experience performing financial statement analytics and monitoring of key business performance metrics
• Attention to detail, accuracy and strong organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
• Capacity to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional team members at all levels
• Experience implementing best practices that require significant innovation for improving processes by applying advanced understanding of complex functional/technical and business issues and challenges
• Embraces change driven by evolving business initiatives and maintains positivity when time-sensitive milestones shift
• Willing and able to travel internationally for occasional business trips
• Experience working with remote teams and managing BPO provider
