Job Description
Warner Bros. Discovery is looking for a communications and public relations professional with sharp strategic vision and a strong understanding of the media, entertainment and cultural landscape in Latin America. The Regional Comms Manager will be responsible for regional brand and publicity strategies for both linear and streaming across Latin America, and work with the local teams to execute successful campaigns for General Entertainment, Kids and Family, Sports and other areas, including key international titles. Responsibilities for the position also include building and maintaining close relationships with regional teams across several business units across the company, including Marketing, Content, Programming, Merchandising and International Publicity teams.

The overall objective is to drive and coordinate the key strategies to maximize positive exposure of our brands and content across Latin America.

We are looking for a candidate with an entrepreneurial, innovative and business-oriented mindset. Strong writing skills, key.The candidate must have a degree in Journalism, Public Relations or related area, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in entertainment, media, corporate or agency settings. Candidate must possess a global mindset and have good business acumen, preferably with experience working for multinational brands. Candidate must be fluent in Spanish and English, with strong written and verbal communications skills. Fluency in Portuguese is a plus. The position reports into the Head of Regional Comms & Talent Relations.

Specific Responsibilities Include
• Lead key brand campaigns across the region for HBO Max, and new streaming platform across the region.
• Work with international teams to develop regional LATAM campaigns for international titles across films, kids and families and other subsets of content to increase awareness and consideration of our brands and content launches in support of business and programming strategies.
• Develop and ensure local roll out of key messages related to all linear and streaming brands, including but not limited to: HBO, HBO Max, TNT, Discovery, ID Discovery
• Regional lead for Kids and Family subset of content, including all the brands and programming and messaging it requires.
• Regional lead and contact for all communications campaigns related to company-owned franchises included The Wizarding World, DC, and others.
• Support local publicity teams in handling media and press inquiries for international publicity campaigns.
• Prepare and manage the distribution of targeted publicity information and materials.
• Supervise and/or coordinate administrative and logistic parts of publicity and brand campaigns including overseeing junkets, local events and activations of regional/global campaigns in the region.
• Reporting of key initiatives, including ROI and key metrics to evaluate and determine success and benchmarks.
• Assist in maintaining collaborative links with other global and local WBD teams to facilitate enterprise-wide synergies.

Requirements & Qualifications:
• 8+ years publicity experience in an entertainment studio, network, agency or publicity firm
• Bachelor's degree and/or relevant experience; MBA a plus
• Extensive experience developing and driving regional entertainment PR & publicity campaigns comms in LATAM.
• Experience working with talent required
• Must have excellent communications skills and the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with the media.
• Good organizational and follow up skills required.
• Experience managing teams is required
• Fluency in English is essential. Portuguese as additional language is preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in building and maintaining a wide strong network of media contacts and influencers
• A genuine, enthusiastic and passionate fan of entertainment with excitement for our content and product
• Experience of influencing and communicating brilliantly across cross-functional and matrixed organizations at all levels.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced industry and brand, and able to be in an ever-growing and dynamic environment.
• Able to be a top contributor to a team culture that breaks the mold, fueled by innovation & creativity in a fast-paced environment, with positive & transparent collaboration.

This position will report into Head of Regional Comms & Talent Relations.
