Job Description
Program and Broadcast Planner (Fixed-Term Contract)

This role is responsible for leading program planning, break optimization, and promotional campaign execution for the Norwegian linear channels TV Norge, Rex, Vox, and FEM. It ensures alignment with the overarching content strategy while using research, insights, and data to strengthen channel performance, audience growth, and revenue. The position also supports the digital strategy for the DTC business across linear platforms, maintaining a holistic understanding of how scheduling, commercial break structures, and promotional strategies influence both viewing behaviour and business outcomes. Success in this role requires strong coordination across teams, a deep understanding of evolving corporate priorities, and the ability to optimize a constantly shifting program inventory within a rapidly changing digital and linear landscape.
Please note: this is a maternity cover contract, ideally starting 1st May, 2026 until 31st December, 2026.
Your Role Accountabilities…
• Execute, maintain and manage program planning, promotional/commercial graphics and promotional trailer campaigns.
• Implement Marketing strategies and help shape the framework for the linear and digital promotion.
• Execute Content strategy both in our Nordic daily operations as well as in our long-term planning.
• Good knowledge of Nordic sporting events and the ability to confidently liaise with the Sports departments for optimization and break modelling of our linear live events.
• Strong digital understanding and motivation to help grow and shape our linear and digital business.
• Build, maintain and utilize knowledge, insights and understand program research and how to drive subscription growth from our linear strategies and initiatives.
• A comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end Planning variables taking both program research, rating optimization and other stakeholders into account, when making scheduling strategies, changes and adjustments.
• Have insight into competing digital and linear businesses in Nordic markets and their impact on WBD's platforms.
• Experience in driving changes and efficiency projects independently or within a team.
• Constantly striving to improve current processes and workflows both internally and externally.

Qualifications & Experience…
• Solid communication and language skills both with team members within the Nordic unit, but also stakeholders across other departments and international regions.
• Highly versatile and multi skilled individual with great attention to detail.
• Agility and flexibility are a must within the Nordic Broadcast Planning unit, where roles and responsibilities are interchangeable depending on the market needs.
• Constant high performance, while adjusting evolving linear and digital programming and promotional strategies.
• Experience from a planning or coordinating role is a must.
• Solid understanding of sports and commercial broadcasting.
• Understanding of linear and digital scheduling practices and the ability to utilize these to improve performance of the schedule.
• Interest in, analytical approach and ability to understand program research and both the linear and digital competitive landscape.
• Solid technical and IT skills is a definite requirement.
