Your New Role

The Warner Bros Discovery Procurement Global Process Owner is responsible for managing the source to contract process from end-to-end. This position plays an integral role in enabling efficiency and strategic value within the Procurement organization. The successful holder of the position will have a deep understanding of the procurement function, the ability to collaborate with a diverse global team, and prior experience in procurement. Responsibilities include implementation, maintenance and improvement of the process along with a deep understanding of how the source to contract process interacts with upstream and downstream processes.

Your Role Accountabilities

Procurement Process standardization & optimization
• Drive consistency in the procurement process from identification of business need to contract expiration by identifying ways to educate and leverage systematic controls to drive the optimal process. Document and gain consensus on a Procurement Playbook that outlines the standard process to be followed by the team.
• Continually assess the process and identify areas of improvement that support a balance of business satisfaction, best practice, and compliance. Work with the other members of the PCS team and external supporting teams to implement the improvements.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and other reference material for the procurement team and business to provide clarity of the process and increase compliance to the sourcing policy
• Provide ongoing guidance to the business on the procurement process
• Work closely with system owners to define requirements for configuration updates and enhancements to systems that support the procurement process
• Identify and support initiatives that leverage process automation, increase efficiency in the process, and increase user adoption of systems
• Monitor industry for best practices, trends, and system offerings and drive the changes to improve procurement processes and systems.
• Provide functional and change management leadership for system implementations and system enhancements. Act as a subject matter expert to ensure the appropriate functionality is implemented.

Process owner liaison
• Work with other process owners to enable a streamlined and efficient end to end operational procurement process by identifying ways to reduce friction and ambiguity in areas of process handover and overlap with other departments
• Work closely with data owners in the process to identify and leverage shared data points that simplify handovers, remove manual steps in the process, and improve reporting and compliance monitoring capabilities
• Gather and synthesize input from the procurement team when process requirements need to be provided

Policy maintenance
• Manage updates to the Procurement Policy as needed
• Work with other policy owners to ensure alignment with related policies, e.g. Travel & Expense, P2P, Delegation of Authority
• Provide direction and manage the workload of direct report

Qualifications & Experience
• 8+ years of strategy, project management, and/or sourcing experience in a sophisticated sourcing environment
• Bachelor's degree in business or supply chain management related field; Master's degree in a related field (e.g. MBA) a plus
• Experience in project management and process improvement (e.g. Lean Process Improvement, Six Sigma, etc.); PMP a plus
• Professional accreditation in sourcing / procurement a plus
• Demonstrates consistent success in meeting or exceeding goals, timelines, and expectations for multiple projects that may be occurring simultaneously.
• Proven ability to build confidence and trust with internal and external constituencies and provide excellent customer service
• Demonstrated ability to motivate others, negotiate appropriately, and coordinate efforts across multiple departments
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to proactively manage a variety of projects and timelines; demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, and an ability to manage multiple assignments and deliverables simultaneously
• Knowledge of procurement processes and related reporting requirements
• Proven ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills along with a high level of attention to detail
• Strong computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
• Strong communication skills with ability to interact with all levels in the company
• Experience with SAP, Ariba, Workday Strategic Sourcing a plus
• Proactive and driven to identify, implement, and monitor continuous improvement opportunities.
• A wide-ranging background with experience in a variety of process areas/departments and a desire to continuously learn

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $113,750.00 - $211,250.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
