Job Description
Your New Role…

The Principal Data Scientist will be part of the Product Science and Analytics group. In the role, you will develop innovative machine learning algorithms with an emphasis on user representation learning and developing language models from large scale behavioral datasets. You will generate actionable insights by modeling large scale customer behavior that will lead to improvements in user experience and drive growth.

The role will partner closely with product, technology, content, marketing, and research stakeholders across WBD to identify ML opportunities, accelerate AI innovation, and ensure the delivery of impactful solutions for the business.

Responsibilities…
• Lead the full ML lifecycle.
• Help establish best practices for applied machine learning. Have strong ownership of functional excellence.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships, engage with cross functional teams to drive project outcomes.
• Provide thought leadership for new projects and project directions. Drive technical roadmaps.
• Collaborate with product owners, business leadership and engineering teams to translate business problems into scalable ML formulations.
• Apply or develop state of the art ML algorithms for the WBD product applications.
• Integrate with A/B test platform to experiment with multiple model variants.
• Incorporate ML best practices and influence their adoption into our machine learning infrastructure.
• Help keep the team up to date with advances in the domain.
• Mentor less experienced team members and provide technical leadership.

Experience & Qualifications…
• Technical education in Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, and other quantitative fields (Masters/Phd preferred).
• Has 10+ years of relevant hands-on experience in machine learning algorithm development and research with a track record of processing, enriching, and extracting value from large datasets.
• The candidate demonstrates strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Strong mathematical skills and familiarity with standard statistical methods including commonly used supervised and unsupervised ML techniques.
• Experience with user representation learning techniques, deep learning techniques and sequence modeling (in particular language models) is strongly preferred.
• Experience using advanced ML topics such as deep Learning, Bandits, Probabilistic Graphical Models, Reinforcement Learning, optimization algorithms preferred.
• Proficiency with the following technologies and frameworks is a plus: Spark, Pytorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn, Snowflake, Python

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $150,496.00 - $279,492.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
