Your New Role…

The Warner Bros. Discovery UK & Ireland Publicity department constantly strives to create and maintain a best-in-class position within the industry. The publicity team is tasked with strategically positioning, promoting but also protecting the launch of all WBD titles.

Reporting into the Senior PR Manager, this is a key managerial role with the PR team in the UK and Ireland leading on D+ Streaming and Linear TV campaigns across the Discovery portfolio. WBD is looking for a candidate who has a passion for popular Entertainment and Fact Ent TV and a proven PR Manager track record.

As part of a larger WBD team covering Film, TV, Games, Franchise, Catalogue and Sport, we expect the candidate to have a cross divisional mindset looking for opportunities and innovation for the full business. This also includes supporting the wider team on events and projects when needed.

Your Role Accountabilities…
• Support the Senior Publicity Manager to identify key PR priorities in the Streaming and Networks' slate, manage the team, champion new opportunities and areas of growth
• With limited supervision, devise and implement creative publicity campaigns over a diverse slate whilst continually looking to expand conventional publicity opportunities, focusing on bigger ideas which will cut through in the marketplace.
• Have excellent digital, broadcast, and print contacts and a comprehensive understanding of the UK and Ireland media landscape with a celebrated track record in delivery of press coverage.
• Orchestrate influencer and tastemaker strategy.
• Have extensive experience in writing strong copy for newsworthy programming,
• Manage end to end press event production e.g. screenings, junkets, set visits.
• Direct and manage talent (both local and international) and their representatives in relation to PR of their programmes.
• Have demonstrable experience of managing direct reports, PR agencies and other suppliers.
• Work collaboratively with the wider team and other departments (Social, Marketing, Trade) to devise joint noisy, consistent, and creative campaigns.
• Work closely with US and EMEA Central colleagues on key promotional priorities.
• Work alongside Corporate Communications, Commissioners and Legal Affairs to manage sensitive content and uphold discretion at all times.
• Report to the wider business on the success of campaigns

Qualifications & Experience…
• TV Publicity Manager Experience: Strong experience as a PR Manager in TV publicity with the ability to implement and manage campaigns with limited to no supervision.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Critical particularly in media relations and reporting internally in the UK and EMEA
• Planning and Organising: Must be highly organized and able to plan both short and long term.
• Teamwork: Critical
• Results Orientation: Must strive to achieve highest results in demanding and ever-changing environment.
• Decision-making: Must be able to think on their feet and make quick / logical decisions
• Commercial Acumen: - Must have a demonstrable understanding of the importance of maintaining brand integrity and demonstrable budgeting skills gained in the publicity arena.
• Flexibility: Must be able to adjust working style and hours at short notice
