OTTO Operator (Temporary)

This is a temporary role.

The Job

Monitoring, operation and Incident Management of OTT & Digital Platforms and IP Distribution for linear channels. Point of contact and escalation to vendors and relevant teams within Warner Bros Discovery to ensure the stability and healthiness of the OTT Platforms. Take actions to mitigate the impact of issues and implement workarounds.

The Daily
• Monitoring dashboards and receiving alerts to detect potential issues on real time or proactively detect when possible
• Logging, updating and tracking incidents in the ticketing system, following the SLA
• Establish and organise communications between internal teams and vendors during incidents
• Escalate issues to relevant teams and follow up the progress
• Troubleshoot issues and perform analysis
• Pulling out and help on build reports from monitoring tools
• Perform sanity checks on OTT platforms
• Collaborate on increasing the platform's availability, performance, security and health.

The Essentials
• Monitoring and operation experience of OTT Platforms
• Basic knowledge of Live Streaming, VOD: Transcoding, Content Delivery Network, Metadata, CMS.
• Upper Intermediate English
• Communication skills
• A problem-solving attitude
• Willing to learn and create processes and work on improvements

The Nice to Haves
• Programming knowledge: Webhosting, Scripting, Java, Java Script, Python
• Networking
• Experience on Testing: QA, UAT, Smoke Tests. (Selenium, Appium, CDK, SDK, Postman or SOAP)
• API Rest
