Your New Role...
Warner Bros. Discovery Content Sales seeks a Manager, Partner Marketing for the Transactional Sales team. A dual-purpose role, the Manager will oversee execution of marketing programs and campaigns tailored to digital retailers and/or to third-party brand partners. Marketing programs will be in support of high-priority Warner Bros. film and TV products distributed via OTT & MVPD transactional partners (e.g. Prime Video, Apple TV, VUDU, Xfinity), as well as brick & mortar retailers (e.g. Walmart) to maximize in-home transactional revenue.
The primary role of the Manager is to implement the marketing tactics that secure optimal merchandising placement and incremental title exposure to drive transactional revenue via title-specific campaigns and programs. The manager will work collaboratively across internal cross-functional teams within WBD Content Sales, WB Theatrical Marketing, and third-party brands to create impactful, retail-focused marketing activations that span the product lifecycle. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the current media landscape including windowing strategies spanning theatrical, premium digital transactional, SVOD, and Pay TV deals, as well as a keen sense for how to maximize earned/editorial marketing and to leverage paid media to drive measurable results.
Your role accountabilities...
• Execute retail partner and third-party brand partner plans on title-specific campaigns by communicating and managing tactical details with internal cross-functional teams (Partner Management, Creative Advertising, Media, Publicity, Social, Legal and Brand Marketing.)Additionally, liaise with external retail and brand partners as needed.
• Manage day-to-day communication with Partner Management and with brand partner pitch agencies.Facilitate creation and dissemination of marketing / sales support materials and creative assets.Evaluate viability of in-bound requests from retailer or brand partners, ensuring timely development, necessary internal and external approvals, and delivery of specific creative assets is achieved accurately and in timely manner.
• Prepare presentations and/or analyses for Transactional Sales leadership and/or for Partner Management team's use in monthly pitches, and/or quarterly business reviews. Provide ad hoc reporting to support film and TV business units.
Qualifications and Experience...
Work Experience
• Minimum 3-5 years professional experience required in retail or consumer marketing.
• Ideal candidate has existing experience at or working with digital entertainment customers with familiarity with TVOD and SVOD industry.
• Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally within a marketing organization
• Experienced in developing/refining workflow processes and excels at managing multiple simultaneous projects with an ability to constantly re-prioritize tasks.
Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
BA/BS degree required.
Knowledge/Skills
• Ability to masterfully create and develop proposals and presentations.
• High proficiency with PowerPoint, Google Slides, and Excel required.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively in a cross functional environment with array of personalities to achieve successful execution of marketing programs.
• Ability to think strategically, applying a strong understanding of the business unit's larger objectives to the day-to-day implementation.
• Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully, both orally and written.
• Strong organizational skills required to effectively manage multiple simultaneous projects and status reports.
• Ability to proactively identify and pursue opportunities for business process improvement.
• Ability to interact diplomatically with external retail and brand partners at various levels
• Demonstrates integrity and reliability with partners and vendors to reinforce long-term relationships.
