Your New Role…
The Networks Content Accounting Manager will be responsible for directly managing the annual quantitative amortization reviews, along with other non-standard/judgmental areas of content accounting, including quarterly qualitative reviews, eliminations, and policy updates. This role will lead approximately two senior accountants.

Your Role Accountabilities…
• Leadership and Management: Manage two direct reports and work with manager and team to achieve set goals. This includes coaching and development, onboarding and training, cross team coordination, and excellent communication with external auditors and accounting leadership.
• Content Accounting: Delegate and execute as a team all monthly and quarterly content accounting tasks. These tasks include, but are not limited to, ensuring data maintenance and integrity related to tracking content usage tracking and timeline execution/documentation of related analytics, performing quarterly qualitative reviews, review of journal entries, roll forwards, and commitment reporting in accordance with established policies and procedures. Support and collaborate with Senior Director to provide subject matter expertise to internal business partners in all content life cycle areas: GAAP/Accounting guidance, global policies and procedures, and SOX controls.
• Other Tasks: Prepare materials for, and participate in meetings with, business partners and leadership. Address tasks to achieve team and company goals such as, but not limited to: IT system maintenance/testing, ad hoc requests, and process improvement initiatives.
• Audit: Collaborate with auditors, both internal and external, to ensure team's accurate and timely submission of requested documentation. Address any questions resulting from audit.
• S4 HANA: Support and work with Director to assist the S4 HANA project team in the planning, design, and implementation of the new technology system.
• Administrative: Complete tasks such as preparation and delivery of performance evaluations, monitor team workload, and review and approve vacation requests.

Qualifications & Experience…
• BS/BA in accounting from an accredited university
• Minimum of 5 years of experience and a strong understanding of US GAAP and SOX requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory/leadership role
• CPA preferred
• Big 4 public accounting background a plus
• Experience in accounting for technical and judgmental areas
• Experience working directly with external auditors to resolve complex accounting and reporting issues
• Attention to detail, accuracy and strong organizational skills
• Experience with SAP or Blackline a plus
• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
• Must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional team members at all levels
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Embraces change driven by evolving business initiatives and maintains positivity when time-sensitive milestones shift
• Experience implementing best practices that require significant innovation for improving processes by applying advanced understanding of complex functional/technical and business issues and challenges
