Your New Role

Within Warner Bros Discovery's Studio Controllership, the Digital Financial Systems and Reporting team provides support to the Digital Home Entertainment Accounting team to enable financial close reporting, system enhancements, and license pricing data validation management. The Manager of the Deals Data Management team, reporting to the Executive Director of Financial Systems, Reporting and Contract Administration, is responsible for managing the license pricing data and reports, to ensure accurate and complete financials, forecasts, and audit compliance.

Your Role Accountabilities

Manage Deals and Licenses Data
• Perform data governance to control and assure data accuracy and timeliness, validate by-title pricing terms, maintain Mediamorph Deals weekly for client availability pricing windows, critical for revenue share derivations used in forecast modelling, monthly revenue accruals, and royalty reconciliations, and SOX/audit controls.
• Identify and resolve pricing and system errors relating to derivations, overrides, and promotions incorrectly applied by the system.
• Collaborate across departments (Accounting, Product Planning, Sales, Business Development, Legal, Trade Marketing) to ensure agreement in the proper interpretation of clients' license terms.
• Partner with Accounting to understand contract requirements to support royalty processing and POS accruals, and account for downstream impacts. Coordinate across departments to make recommendations to resolve data issues from upstream and to downstream systems to synchronize title availability data across the business and promote accuracy of source data.
• Assist Financial Systems Manager to on-board client deal to the Mediamorph system, including configuration of terms, uploading/importing title availability and price windows.
• Provide key support to stakeholders supporting worldwide Digital Accounting, Audit, Finance and Sales Planning in strategic initiatives, M&A and financial close activities: data and analytics for pricing and product requests. Coordinate with Master Data team as needed to resolve product and mapping issues to post royalties.
• Create MS Access databases and Excel-based tools as needed to perform duties.

Lead Deals System Enhancements
• Identify, design and implement manual or system automated tools and processes to improve efficiency in deal maintenance and quality of reporting.
• Propose and support Mediamorph and Salesforce system enhancements, transformation, and strategic solutions to streamline deal administration functions and drive scalability. These tasks may include facilitating the creation of functional specifications, performing analyses, user acceptance testing, approving deployment of new system logic and reporting changes impacting deals management, and input to the creation of cutover strategies.
• Assist Executive Director with system integration project for title avails data, including planning, process and reporting development, testing and data synchronization activities, presentations, and training.
• Develop and implement optimized process redesign changes to reduce manual interventions in license management while maintaining audit controls and mitigating risk.
• Design, test and deploy new deal pricing data reports and enhancements including proposing and designing new analytics.

Supervisory Resource Management
• Supervise and coordinate work of offshore resources and workloads, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of continuous by-title pricing window updates, required to enable financial close processing, audit, reconciliations, executive scorecards, and forecasts.
• Supervise integration efforts, roadmap adherence and tracking
• Oversee digital analysis and deal licenses validation reporting: mismatched and null pricing issues, product windows and pricing terms, migrations
• Serve as Authoritative point of contact to research and resolve escalated or complex issues identified in title avails pricing and contract system issues, and to remove roadblocks for offshore Deals Data management resources. Escalate further as appropriate.
• Manage project tracking/timelines of work efforts of Deals Data management team, including UAT sprints for quarterly releases
• Design and implement training plans, document and create user guides, and train resources, as needed.
• Assist with system and reporting projects as assigned

Qualifications & Experience
• 5+ years' experience with Financial Systems and Finance/Accounting required
• Database experience managing large and complex dynamic data sets required
• Experience developing and implementing financial systems preferred
• Experience with entertainment contracts preferred
• Salesforce and Mediamorph experience a plus
• BA/BS degree required (Financial Systems, Finance or Accounting preferred)
• Advanced Excel, Advanced MS Access Required
• Strong project management, analytical and reporting skills
• Thrives in an environment of change, able to multitask and to follow up
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with personnel on all levels both internal and external
• Ability to collect relevant facts quickly and provide recommendations for issues encountered
• Work well within time constraints and ability to meet shifting deadlines.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $83,090.00 - $154,310.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
