The Marketing Intelligence and Data Products team powers Warner Bros. Discovery's internal Subscriber Growth and Media group. The team manages the data and analytics for all owned & paid media across linear tune-in and streaming outcomes. Data engineering, products, operations, and advanced analytics all sit within the team to streamline collaboration and create agility. We are an in-house data product team working with big data, including streaming analytics, smart tv data and MMPs to measure billions of media impressions weekly. We continually work to enhance the data processing, code, methodologies and products deployed to drive dashboard reporting, multi-touch attribution, media mix models, incrementality, ROI reporting and real-time optimization for streaming and tune-in. Your New Role…

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Data Architecture to join our growing team. Working with the Director of Data Architecture and Engineering, this role will be responsible for designing and implementing data architectures that support the needs of WBD's data-driven marketing organization. The position will utilize industry best practices for data design, ingestion, modeling, and structure. This role will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and other team members to ensure that our data is accurate, reliable, automated and accessible. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data frameworks that support the enablement of data engineering and analytics capabilities; ultimately propelling an ecosystem of data products that drive efficient and effective marketing outcomes.

Your Role Accountabilities…
• Design and implement the overall structure of Marketing Intelligence's data systems, including data models, data storage, and data integrations
• Manage and build architectures that support the needs of a data-driven marketing organization
• Ensure consistent, trustworthy data across all Marketing Intelligence's suite of measurement and modeling products
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, marketers, and other team members to scope the data needs of the business
• Transform new data sets into clean, automated and actionable assets to further business results
• Utilize industry best practices to transform data into a strategic asset that drives advanced data solutions and capabilities
• Define and develop mapping rules for the movement of data from disparate data sources
• Steer the development of data governance and data management practices
• Monitor and optimize data architectures to ensure optimal performance
• Improve data lifecycle effectiveness and efficiencies and identify potential for cost savings
• Sell architecture ideas and strategies to key technical and business stakeholders
• Own troubleshooting and debugging of data architecture issues as they arise
• Develop and maintain documentation for data architectures and processes
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry best practices related to data architecture
• Manage and implement privacy compliance requirements in the data architecture
• Be a champion for developing data intellectual property to propel WBD's marketing efforts

Qualifications & Experience…
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field
• 5+ years experience in architecting big data infrastructures, processes and systems
• Direct experience in data warehousing design, tuning and ETL/ELT process management
• Hands-on experience working in MPP databases (Snowflake, Redshift, EMR, Databricks)
• Strong hands-on scripting (e.g. python) ability
• Experience with data processing frameworks, such as Apache Spark.
• Experience with cloud-based data storage and processing technologies, such AWS, GCP
• Extensive experience with data modeling and designing database environments
• Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
• Exposure to privacy compliance and processes
• Proven ability to be a proactive problem-solver
• Strong ownership, project management, and organizational skills
• Track record of leading a team or managing other data professionals
• Experience managing relationships with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes
• Experience presenting complex data engineering solutions to senior stakeholders
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
• Ability to navigate through data ambiguity and pivot when necessary
