Job Description
We are looking for a Content Revenue Manager to join the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Content Revenue Accounting team. This team provides support for the licensing and distribution of intellectual property (IP) for HBO and Max, including ''functional IP'' such as a produced film or television series and ''symbolic IP'' such as a character or brand. The DTC Content Revenue team also supports Consumer Products where the HBO and Max brand is licensed to other licensees for merchandise and e-commerce sales including apparel, accessories, and mobile games. This team is responsible for accounting functions including revenue recognition, inter-company transactions, third party liabilities as well as the related distribution, participations, and residuals expenses. The DTC Content Revenue team works with key stakeholders throughout the business, including Warner Bros Distribution Accounting, Contract Administration, Content Finance, Technical Accounting, Financial Systems, Operations, Line of Business and Consolidated Financial Reporting.

Your Role Accountabilities
• Review account reconciliations and ensure appropriate aging of receivables/payables
• Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to perform review of accounts and revenue processes in order to foster a continuous improvement environment
• Review and post journal entries including supporting documentation
• Ensure proper internal controls are in place and all transactions are recorded timely and accurately in accordance with GAAP and established SOX requirements and company policies
• Assist with Financial Systems Transformation projects (from Oracle and PeopleSoft to SAP S4 Hana)
• Assist internal and external audit in their audit procedures, as requested
• Oversee the day-to-day accounting activities for Content Licensing and Consumer Products
• Direct supervision of one Senior Accountant
• Provide monthly Actuals reporting to Finance, Line of Business and Senior Management
• Provide ad hoc reporting, as needed
• Prepare/review quarterly Balance Sheet Flux analysis
• Build, foster and maintain good working relationships with members of the Accounting Controllership and key stakeholders
• Research accounting issues and recommend treatment in compliance with ASC 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers
• Review quarterly SEC Reporting and tax packages

Qualifications & Experiences
• Minimum of 6 years of accounting experience required and a strong understanding of US GAAP, SOX requirements, and relevant local GAAP as required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory/leadership role in accounting/finance
• Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited university
• Strong desire to meet deadlines and other relevant performance metrics
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, proactive, deadline-oriented
• Mental agility to prioritize and execute independently in a fast-paced environment
• Initiative, independent problem-solving abilities, ownership of work product, strong leadership qualities and ability to effectively delegate
• In-depth experience with process analysis and improvement
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Presentation skills, status reporting, issue flagging, public speaking and exposition of prepared analysis and its implications. Ability to frame issues and articulate findings.
• Advanced English skills

Desirable
• Master's degree in accounting a plus
• CPA license (or equivalent) preferred
• Oracle, Peoplesoft, SAP, Cadency and/or Blackline
• Content revenue accounting or the media/entertainment industry
