Your New Role
Manager focusing on the reporting and analysis of legacy WarnerMedia (primarily Consolidated results and legacy WarnerMedia Corporate). Consolidated Financial Reporting is responsible for the preparation of consolidated financial statements and related footnote disclosures for inclusion in the Warner Bros. Discovery quarterly and annual SEC filings ensuring results are in compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations. Works with the Controllership groups to ensure adequate explanation of submitted results, variance resolution and collaborate on process efficiencies.
Your Role Accountabilities
Reporting and Analysis
• Review of monthly legacy WarnerMedia Corporate Balance Sheet, question unusual activity, investigate large variances and resolution follow-up on previously identified issues
• Manage journal entry process for topside adjustments, including research, support and approval
• Review various analysis prepared by staff for legacy WarnerMedia Corporate and WarnerMedia consolidated, including Other Assets, Other Liabilities, Equity
• Serves as purchase accounting expert for legacy WarnerMedia segments (HBO, Turner and Corporate), including review of additional entries, tracking/reporting of balances, research/reconciliation as necessary and communication between the affected groups
• Works closely with Elimination group to manage consolidated investments, reviewing monthly activity, communicate with Controllership and ensure consolidated balance is cleared
• Work in multiple GL/Consolidation systems to report results, including researching and reconciling of data in legacy GL and WarnerMedia financial consolidation tool
• Address management inquiries/requests for data and analysis spanning multiple finance / accounting areas
• Review of footnote schedules prepared by team prior to submission to WBD external reporting; preparation of more complex footnote schedules
Process Management
• Manage monthly Balance Sheet account mapping from PeopleSoft to WarnerMedia Consolidation to ensure consistency across WBD, including compliance with SOX related process requirements
• Lead key projects and initiatives impacting reporting; collaborate with internal/external customers, business partners and peers to drive efficiencies in processes and effectively meet deliverables
Special Projects/Other
• Manage annual stand-alone financial statements for Historic Time Warner
• Participate in other key projects and initiatives, including ad hoc reporting/analysis and work on cross-divisional initiatives, as required
• Provide assistance/support to other areas within Consolidated Financial Reporting as needed
Qualifications & Experience
• 5+ years of experience in accounting and/or finance
• Experience with SAP/BW, PeopleSoft or other large ERP system
• Extensive experience with Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, vlookups, macros
• Variance analysis and reporting experience is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• CPA required
• Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Detail oriented self-starter with the ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet routine and non-routine deadlines
• High degree of motivation to deliver a quality product
• Initiative and willingness to take on additional responsibilities
• Strong organizational skills
• Competent in preparing presentation quality documents and executive level summaries
• High emphasis on teamwork, collaboration, data analysis, and process innovation

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $83,090.00 - $154,310.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
