Manager, Business Intelligence Dax - Semantic Layer

Job Description

The successful candidate will have a mixture of business acumen, communications , and great data and analytics skills. Th is role will be responsible for defining and implementing BI semantic layers and BI cubes .The Manager, Business Intelligence will also be responsible for introducing new BI solutions or features that can improve business value.
Your Role Accountabilities:
• Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of a centralized semantic layer to be used across all Business Intelligence tools, ensuring consistency, scalability, and business relevance.
• Own and maintain the semantic model architecture, including metrics, dimensions, and business definitions, providing a trusted data foundation for self-service analytics and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders-including business leads, data engineers, analysts, and product owners-to understand data needs and translate them into scalable semantic structures.
• Act as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for semantic layer strategy, governance, and implementation across the organization.
• Enable cross-tool compatibility (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Excel) by abstracting complex data structures into reusable, business-friendly models.
• Champion best practices for semantic modeling, data documentation, naming conventions, and metric standardization to ensure long-term maintainability and usability.
• Provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on in building, optimizing, and deploying models using tools such as Power BI Desktop, DAX, or similar technologies.
• Conduct regular reviews and gather feedback from users to enhance the semantic layer, drive adoption, and align with evolving business needs.
• Partner with data governance, data engineering, and analytics teams to ensure data quality, security, and accessibility within the semantic models.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging BI tools to continuously evolve the semantic strategy in support of business growth and innovation.

Qualifications & Experiences:
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, or a related field.
• ​ ​ Fluent in ​ ​ English ​ .
• 8+ years p roven experience in Business Intelligence and data modelling .
• Advance knowledge in BI tools (Tableau and PowerBI )
• Strong data and analysis skills .
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams.
• Business savvy , specifically in the media & and entertainment industry
• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Adaptability to a fast-paced and evolving technological landscape.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence and engage teams.
• Extremely strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly .
